  1. hi there. ive had me r33 gts25t 4door parked up outside for quite some time now with a snapped alternator belt etc, say around 2months so ive put the battery back into the car, turn the key on just so i can move it to the shed, and it pops the main fuse, being 75a. im really not to sure where to start here.. on the battery there is a red clip, which has 2 wires going in to it, then to the terminal.. *looking face down to the front of the red clip, terminal side*, it only pops the fuse if the right wire is connected in.. it will even pop if the car keys are not turned on etc. is there a wire diagram i can trace it through, or what is my best bet here thanks in advance.
  2. ghetto: .. my old sir civic 1500$ turbs conversion
  3. yeh thats a another way.. i used standard vr4 bends + straight aluminium in my ef9 civic .. costed around the same.. pvc is dam easy tho and itll flow well too.
  4. old post: ive seen and personally used PVC piping with no problem.. spray paint it and vola.(sorta ha)
  5. Probly of no relevance, but we installed some GReddy springs into a mates evo1 and comparing them to kings they are a much better ride.
  6. i gotta r32 gtst.. hicas is **** and i need to remove. im guessing that putting a lock bar in would be the best way as it sits solid, but on the r32, if i was to cut the hicas wire (havnt searched on what to do here) would it be as stable as having a lock bar.. whats the pros and cons, as im on a budget cheers
  7. no. the company that make those manifolds are ABSOLTE shit. trust me. ssautochrome produce the most bullshit products ever, and their manifolds crack within a few months of use. not just their manifolds, but their wastegates's bov's etc. ive heard many complaints of the manifolds needing to be modifyed as they dont fit properly.
  8. rb25det has a t3 style flange. a t28 is a t25 style flange, so id say the gt28 would also be a t25/28 flange (smaller) .. so no , it wont bolt up. t3/t4 on it is a good upgrade
  9. bout same size as a t4 wheel.. bore your exhaust housing out then chuck a t4 compressor wheel and itll be mint.. thats what im doing.
  10. cheers guys.. yeh ive actually gotta EP-ROM burner here at the moment, but doubt Dr Drift would just chuck me the map for me to burn meself.. side note; what octane gas you guys use ? no doubt tho that chipping the ecu's is the best way to go as i upgraded to that on the hondas after the safc's and the difference was amazing for a 15$ chip and only on a basemap. what did you end up paying for the chipping and was that him socketing the ECU and burning the chip, or just giving you the chip. ill look out for a rb25 turbo then, but might chuck the rx7 turbo on to see what sorta gains that provides over the stock one just as a reference for people. GTR coolers are quite expensive, and can score evo 4-6 cooler for 300$. cheers for the info aye; helps alot .
  11. right so being a student im limited to $$ , and need to get this skyline up to D1 spec. basically ive got a budget of a grand to do this (as far as engine mods go) ive thought up this plan; but bare in mind ive never worked on rb's before, just turboing b16a's/b18cs 4agtes etc. VG30 turbo or rx7 in gtst exhaust housing(which i already have) or RB25turbo: does anyone have the a/r's for the VG30's off the SOHC 3L engines? 3" exhaust bla bla stock ecu with a safc: now does anyone here actually have their safc tunned to run higher boost. and if so, what settings is it at, as they **** around with the timing abit. we used to chuck 450cc's in the hondas and wind it back to around -40% but itd advance the timing mega so had to retard at dizzy = rough... chuck a evo cooler on it or something with 2.5" pipes or 3"(to big?) lastly, what would be a good suspension setup for CHEAP that would be sufficient for track work.. i know coilovers are best and i will probly have to save for that anyway, but is there anyother way around that option (other than choppies) ill be doing all the work myself so no labour worries, and car parts over here (NZ) are quite abit cheaper than over there :boobies2: any other suggestions? cheers guys
  12. yip; its 100% in the tuning as far as boost levels go. has anyone actually got some A/F runs of a stock ecu on a GTST r32 at 1bar?.?? My plan for mine is basically up the fuel pressure, then tune it with a safc and run 1bar on a rx7 turbo most likely.
  13. doesnt sound bad off the internal. ive had it on many cars; also higher the boost the better the sound.. sound depends alot on the pipe itself too.
