  1. buy this for your next car http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=0&R=9303263&keywords=&trecs=1&__sid=12C5A32CBD0F&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=true&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294806771&silo=1011
  2. yeah from memory there is 180 n/a there is silvia in n/a so dont see why not 180 silva J spec or Q spec ca18de weapon
  3. good work did you get a new photo on your p's ive managed to keep all my licence photos leaners p's full licence full licence its ace
  4. the GTR powerfc has mapping correction for air temps at 50, 60 and 70+ each step retards timing and i assume stock ecu would be pretty close to this 50 - no correction 60 - -3 deg 70+ - -5 deg so i reckon what you are seeing is correct
  5. i reckon that sounds reasonable for intake temp
  6. yoga fire
  7. what sort of temps are you seeing on the intake temp? i think greg is right, nissan would have tested the crap out of it, given that the stock sensor provides correction to the stock ECU mapping there would be some tolerance to a hot plenum and it would likely be taken into account so as greg said, you may in fact be seeing high intake temps which are actually true after intake and compression from a pair of turbochargers its probably reasonable to some fairly high temps - what are you seeing?
  8. rolls has a very good and easy suggestion
  9. anything to stop this elevator from falling? the basement
  10. ive got bendix ultimates i think in my gtst and they work ace no issues with heat or normal street driving
  11. good find adam on my GTST with the apexi RSM connected my needle goes spazzo past the RevLimit Warning set on the Apexi RSM the hicas light flahes and the RPM goes all the over the shop - fix is to set the rev warning on RSM to 10,000 and it goes away unrelated to your issue, but another "wierd" gotcha i saw with the RPM needle
  12. so yeah to summarize the nissan RB is setup resonably well to handle high temps the main things are plenty of water, good oil and good amount of oil and basics 101 no need for aftermarket caps, different water pipes, cooling panels etc these usually add zero benefit, and in a lot of cases make it worse than OEM stock nissan would stress test the ass out of the OEM gear to ensure it is acceptable, so you shouldnt need cooling panels etc i think on dezz's car we saw worse water temps with a cooling panel fitted on his GTST, so he took it off likewise aftermarket radiator cap on bassjunky's car caused the radiator core to explode (sure 3 minute burnout) but a stock would have just blown and pissed water everywhere so more often than not, dont need the "marketing mods" that you see 80deg is ideal watere temp and the ECU (at least the powerfc does in defaults) will always richen up a touch to get to 80deg and stay there
  13. 2 bricks coming up. welcome to sea world kid
  14. yeah if you remove it and make sure the vac lines are joined it should be ok and run stock boost if you do it wrong it will be unlimited boost so use your brains and check it after you do it ie dont just do it and hope its correct, check it and see what boost peaks at
  15. auto gk how i love thee xvid movies made easy
  16. yes BNR32 PowerFC is same PowerFC for BCNR33 the only difference is the 02 sensor type, as BNR32 from memory is titania, and BCNR33 is zirconia (forget which is which). Under ETC, FUNCTION SELECT you need to identify which one you have by setting 02 SENSOR REGISTER. read the powerfc in my signature to work out which one is which and set it and away you go. also make sure you duplicate the output signal to both 02 inputs on the PowerFC, ie make sure 02-1 and 02-2 under ETC, SENSOR SW CHECK have a working value
  17. if its too hot and too much pressure you want the std cap to blow and give way you dont want an aftermarket cap holding in more pressure and heat leave it with the std cap likewise with thermostat, leave the std one 80deg is ideal water temp the ecu retards timing and adds in fuel until water temp is 80deg so if its not 80deg, its basically under correction
  18. what actually happened to your car?
  19. yep mines had 12psi for over 5 years and still going good but its basically a timebomb and could die at any time
  20. is there a 2wd dyno place in your area that does powerfc? could always drop the shaft and tune in rwd mode if its close by might save you a few $$$ in fuel etc getting it to brisbane for a tune
  21. aftermarket radiator cap is a strong no no all it does is hold in more pressure and more heat in turn youll probably blow the radiator core before the aftermarket cap (we've seen it before) so strongly advise NOT to fit aftermarket rediator cap, if you insist, make sure its rated the same as your current stock one, don't fit a higher rated or higher temp rated one
  22. nah i meant more for ripping a DVD onto your computer or movie box network instead of taking up 4GB when you can get a reasonable copy for sub 1.5GB in decent format and plays on most systems need to get me a qnapp and some 2TB drives, they are only $109 each!!!!
  23. have a read of http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1539164&p=65 if you can bothered i was trying to find out what the throughput and speeds was like i would assume you go on a different shaped network or bandwidth bucket choosing an unlimited plan
  24. yeah naked adsl is dsl without a phone line normal dsl you need phone line bigpond is still a bit price exxy (pricks) 50GB for $79 without a phone line nah when i said do you need a phone line, as in, do you want a home phone at your new house (a lot of people dont these days) i didnt want one and i couldnt get naked dsl, exchange ports full so i went cable yeah 60 a month is pretty good unlimited, hopefully one day bigpond will be competitive price wise if you bundle bigpond cable with telsra phone line it might come out about the same ?
  25. scene standard this, i say 2x700mb is pointless and annoying just means you have to rejoin it yourself after you download it and the guide is for the average donkey wanting to rip movies i spent ages stuffing around with xilisoft and it came out like ass most times that guide helped me a lot so why not share the love
