  1. Cheers blink, Id probably look at just buying a rb30 bottom end after i purchase the r32 gt2st and use the head off that if thats any good what do you guys rekon, would the block be a simple bolt in? And bolt on head?
  2. Ok that didnt answer my question ahhaah well heres another question more cubic inches means more power/torque weather u guys want to hear that or not (i.e. look at top fuelers) anyways why did nissan make the top of the line only a 2.6 litre and not the 3 litre??? That im stumped about
  3. Hey guys i was wondering which out of these 3 engines would win overall for easy of power, reliability, price, and also easy and price of keeping one if i were to drop it in a r32 gtst, i love the look of the suckers saw an awesome black one today near my work anyway i was looking to drop most likly the 30 or 26 in because i dont think a 2 liter is enough to spool turbos as well as they should seeing as i own a bloody 4 liter now and have been in 4 litre turbos ahhaha, anyway if i get my r32 gtst i was looking to run just normal rb20 while making a engine (of the above 3) around 250rwkw or enough to run mid 12's but i want a very reliable enigne, also do these drop in or do they need new engine mounts.... Thanks guys adzi
  4. Comon guys somebody gotta know how much it'd cost to get a r32 gtst into the 12s and be reliable...
  5. Hey guys... I currently own an eb falcon I6, and was looking into purchasing a r32 gtst (seeing as i cant afford a xr6turbo ba), and was reading through some posts on here and was amazed at you guys considering a gt35/40 turbo big? The stock ba xr6t runs this (please i am not mocking im jus interested), the falcon runs a 4 litre i know but an rb30 is alot more high tech then the falcon (even older falcons like mine are running lot bigger turbos with full boost at 3000ish), there shouldnt be such a problem with spooling times on these engines.... Anyways how much should i be looking at spending on a good condition r32 gtst. Im looking for mid 12second quater pass while normal street drivability, how much in mods (i want a really reliable car too) should i be looking at and more important WHAT mods would i be looking at id really like to show my mate (in the turbo falcon) how its done again.....Thanks guys
  6. ahahhaha there is to me because you can get this things which are like the butterfly valves on the throttle body but on the exhaust which quietens them down alot and seeing as petrol prices wont be going down ever just up id like to keep mild fuel econo and the reason i want to beat him is cause he beats my car which used to be the fastest and i have to reclaim my crown its a thing me and my mates have plus ive always wanted a "fast" car and i like the r32 look
  7. Thanks for the reply guys hopefully i can get some cash saved and get the gtr, and no i wont control the power with my right foot cause i dont trust my self i will get sumthing worked up for this im sure ecus can run two maps these days not jus fuel pressure and boost pressure but everything (i.e. a limiter) and then a flick of a switch KABOOM well if (when) i get the gtr i'll look at getting n1 turbos or t4 turbos put on..exhaust system from turbos back......ecu (as said)......injectors.....cams.......and front mount.......hopefully mid 2007 this willl be done sounds long way away but time fly's these days
  8. Well if i can i will get a r32 gtr, how much do you pay for insurance if you dont mind me asking, im not talking about the ba models i know how much they put out damn bastards im talking about a 4ltr engine from eb's and such from over 10 years ago putting out over 200 rwkws unopened from just a turbo....if i can get a gtr with fmic, exhaust, i'll probably put on n1 turbos and ecu with larger injectors and custom headers......is it possible with ecus, nowadays to actually have two maps lets say at a press of a button u can go from 150kws (economy) to around 300+ (just figures).......id be very interested in that cause i dont want to drive around with 300+ kws for no reason......thanks
  9. Thats what im worried about when he gets his 400rwkw in 5 years but hopefully i'll still beat him reason for ( i was going to buy one) i cant get a gtr is i CANNOT get insurance seeing as im only 19 and i like to work on cars and see that i had some input to what makes it go or what makes it blow if you get me......how would a to4e or r go on one? seeing as the Ford 4lt engines theyre like the medium sized ones ( yes i own a ford but i love em) but guys are using these and getting full boost at around 3200rpm how would a turbo of this size handle on a skyline p.s ford guys are getting 205rwkws with these to4s with UNOPENED engines Thanks guys
  10. Well i was thinking of if i were to get one....(r32 or r33) put in exhaust, fmic, sard injectors, fuel regulator, to4 turbo (dont know which spec yet but one with good mid-high torque/power with steel ball bearings), and either chip or full stand alone...plus cams and valve springs seeing as the head makes all the power.......also how much approx is it to rebuild an rb motor with lets say forged rods, pistons and balanced crank etc
  11. Hey guys i dont currently own a skyline but was looking into getting one......the two im looking at are the r33 and r32's gtst.....now my mate has a mkii falcon xr6turbo.......simple........i want to beat him.......the r33's look better (with the 400r bodykit which id put on) but the r32 is lighter if im not mistaken......ontop of the actualy price of the car i was not looking at spending more then 10-12k on mods to beat him......hopefully get into very low 13's or higher 12's on da 1/4....if this is not possible i guess i'll have to go EvoII Thanks guys
  12. Hey guys thanks for da replys fellas, interesting stuff there might have to think about gettting one...how come you say they a money pit either way gtr32, i was actuallly hoping to use it as an every day car so i was hoping it wouldnt be a money pit ahhaha....
  13. sorry bout that, iwanted to know why there is such a price difference between r32 gtrs
  14. Hey guys im new to these forums im Adzi........ Ive been looking into the r32 gtr latley and must say am very impressed i always thought skylines were a lil overrated (bro-inlaw beat a r33 gtst with a non-turbo supra) a mate of mine also owns a r33 gtst and isnt that quick to say the truth....anyway, i was looking at the stats for the r32 gtrs and saw something on the lines of 4.7second 0-100 13second quater out of a stock car.......i dont think ive heard of this stats from any car from late 80's early 90's......only car was the gt gtho phase III's but thats even before then......anyways ive been looking to get one hopefully next year ( i know long time but i want to do alot of research) and have been looking at some prices why can i see some gtrs yes gtrs going for 18k-20kish yet some others are around the 28k+ mark.......if it is possible to get a good condish r32 gtr for around 18-20 i willl be doing a fully rebuild of the engine plus a custom blue print among other things i have learnt from my past dealings with cars........ Thanks everybody and sorry bout the long post
