In regards to Rollaboyz, their non-official status has not stopped them attracting sponsorship from companies.
However, they are "organised" in that they arrange meets which provide increased exposure for their sponsors.
*dB drag sound-offs
*rice cook-offs
*and the biannual "that's an outrageous neon" award.
seriously though, their culture is very "club" oriented, rather than simply car-oriented, and I think that that is the way you need to be in order to attract sponsorship, otherwise businesses never get a return on their investment.
This would theoretically produce a marked contrast between the SAUWA that exists now, and the one which would potentially exist as an organised club. Both have their good and bad points.
