Hi, I am located in Quakers Hill.

In my GTR the roll bar section that goes around the b-pillar area sits almost flush with the roof lining. So I don't think it would fit a GTS-T with a sunroof.

The cage would be to big to fit a R32. It is made specifically match up to the curve of the floor and the b pillar of a R33. The front pipes are two into one, so unless your GTS-T has a RB26 in it then no sorry it wont fit. I would be willing to ship the pipes and the steering hub interstate at buyers expense but the cage would be to much hassle.

As fate would have it i was late to work this morning and thus i had to stay back. My last call tonight at around 6 oclock was from one of your guys. I think it may have been SKYLNR? Im glad noone here has had the same experance with Famous Insurance that i have. Lets begin the story... Frist of all im 20 living in sydney driving a 1990 GTR. - On the 5/08/2005 called Robyn Clements got a quote for $3500 + 10% for pay by the month. This was cheeper than just car so i went for it. - Robyn took my account number over the phone to direct debit my account. ( Would have given her someones account number that i hated if i knew what was going to happen next) - 8/08/2005 My account is debited $770 with no authority. I had filled out no direct debit form and i hadent read or recieved the policy yet. - 10/08/2005 I acctually recieve the pollicy and read the fine print. ( bullshit like , In the event of a single vehicle accident a report must be made to the police and a blood or brethtest or alcohol must be conducted with in 2 hours.) - That night i call just car and get a quote for $2900, with a better pollicy and excess. - Then i realise that they have already debited my acount, so according to them they need it in writting. -11/08/2005 I send an express post letter cancelling my pollicy.... -12/08/2005 I call and they have recieved the letter and robyn tells me it will be cancled straight away. - I then call and check every day and each time they assure me its going to be cancled and my money returned. - 25/08/2005 $385 is debited from my account.... WTF. I call and the pollicy still hasent been closed. - I then spend the next week trying to speek to the guy thats incharge of cancelations. After being put on hold for 30min on mre than one occasion and being hung up on and told his on lunch (for over 2 hours) i finally speek to him. He was extreamly rude and tells me it will be done. - Now its september and still nothing. I manage to call and get onto the boss Jerry or whatever his hame is. Finally he writes me a check and its all solved. -I get the check for $326.04.... after fees thats what was left of the 770, no sign of the 385 that was taken a month later. Im currently fighting a legal battle to get my money back as they never should have taken anymoney from my acount and the contract should have never even started. Famous are unprofessional and semingly commit fruad on a daily basis, I can't recomend more that you stay away from them. I sure as hell wont ever have anything to do with them ever again.

$1600.oo later... There was a spring that stops the gearbox going into reverse wile your moving forward, this also controls the engagement of reverse. This small inexpensive spring was the cause of ALL of my dramas. o well, atleast now its getting a full reco, new bearings ect.. should run really sweet, pluss fifth gear was getting sticky. I thought it was a bit weird my gearbox failing only 76,000 ks. If thats really only all its done

Don't bother with a secured loan, you get every excuse in the book. To old, to fast, to imported... Unsecured with the Commonwealth, approved with in 20min over the net (in pincipal) in about 3-4 working days the branch you nominated calls you and makes an apointment to view all your payslips ect to back up what you said in the online application, the next day you have the money in your account. Done. Unsecured is the way to go, only asked what it was for out of general interest of the loan officer. Shes like, "o yah kool a skyline..." Then you get the car and a week later it needs a new gearbox... its all good...

The box is comming out ... we shall soon know the reason, id rather rebuild a gearbox that i know whats wrong with than buy a second hand box that could end up having the same problem. ill let everyone know what happens when its finished.

1990, 76000k's, the gear box has been silky smooth up till now.. its weird it also has a twin plate osgiken clutch, but that shouldnt have caused any reverse problems...

I can't believe it! Iv had the car for a week and after the first day the HICAS light comes on. That now seems the least of my problems. After its first long drive i find that it will not engage reverse, so i wait till it cools down and it goes in. ok so maby the oil is low and it over heated i think.... So i plan to change the oil but still drive it only on one more short trip. Now even after its stone cold it will not go into reverse. So today we change the oil even put some of the nulon stuff.... Well it goes better in all 5 foward gears but still no reverse... Im about to give up on owning a skyline, iv maxed out my resources (money) just to get the car, wich is sad because skylines are my biggest love, do i need a rebuild? I think maby its a bearing in the reverse shaft... I live in Quakers Hill, near blacktown. Wheres a good gearbox place near me? Any help would be appreciated!
