  8. the hardest bit is going to be pulling the bolts out of the heat shield and the t3 flange. have a friend, a FULL can of wd40 and a shitload of patience. the rest is cake.

  15. Just curious as a fairly reasonable offer has come my way. What are your experiences with this turbo on 25 ? i can guess at what rpm range it kicked in by the size of the thing, but when did it spool on your application ? what relevant mods did you have that may have increased / decreased this over stock internals + cam gears assuming split front dump and complete 3" exh? sizing for my application it is a little large (increasing lag understandably) with a target of a max 250, 220-250 is my goal which is well short of the power claims by garret. Is the version of the turbo released on the ford the same as sold by garret literally ? steel wheels etc double bb cartridge ? same as the GT3540 aka GT35R from garret ?? apparently they are t3 flanged (i haven't seen the thing and personally inspected yet but soon) which would suit my exhuast, are certainly large enough for my application. assuming mod's to the exhaust manifold anything else req changing bar water an oil lines ? how hard was it to source an appropriate exhaust mani or was it all custom ? Im having a hard time with searching at the moment on the turbo of the ba/bf xr6's i keep getting hte damed car specs an i want the compressors specs... driving me mad...

  19. oh man, had a mate dry an rip heli's in that crap box an bent the rod on the left side, old shitty steel, it was on DIRT! paddick bask on the grans farm FTW! yea most expensive fix on the car ever... $120 for a newy cuase i actualy was driving it an sterring + braking on anything im using on the street needs them 2. though my ol 72 sl tor'y couldnt really make that claim an it was taken care of... 72 steel shiz, not bad going in a straight line, upg to disks all around to.
  20. once had a corona wagon, only car i ever smoked in, never cleaned, kicked allot. the roof had been filled with chiprock and plaster as the metal had rusted away. chucked some sheet metal over the top an brazed the sheet on from the bottom first ofcoarse then chip-rock + plaster with housepaint finish. got a hole in the rocker cover so distinct lack of compresion so welded on some sheet metal then proceded to weld the cover to the motor. all compression issues fixed. had a leak in the exhuast which made the most anooying whistling sound so pulled of the rear muffler, found something of some other econo box @ reckers that matched ish to the brackets and just stuck it in there. car came for free, sold for $400 to reckers. did tell him most of hte car was not metal and he still offered me that much for the shitter dodgiest thing ever done to line took of S2 wing and added 33 r wing with rear brake light. never skimp on anything when it comes to the beasty, solder and even bloody heat shrinks etc. love my common whore of a 33 I DO!

  23. time roughly from top to bottom of tree, I always stuff the reaction time braking the lazer. launch after that isn't too bad or shifting, that i can practice but the timing on of the damm treee shits me. not ever had a perfect reaction time. best ever .5 and worst 1.5+ ... chick with huge nockers front row on first run >;P. I just want some tricks to hit the mark or just after so im not wasting a second infront of the tree after shes lit up... any hints an tips would be of help. p.s sliping cluth on 2nd always causes a bloody falsey.
