  1. Hi I have an R33 GTR with Xenon headlamps, recently one of them has started to glow pink instaed of white. Has anybody come across this before? I've had the car about 4 years. It was complied with standard lights then the Xenons were refitted so I guess the wiring has been chopped and re-joined? The lights were fine until about a week ago. I've sprayed out the connectors with contact cleaner but it still glows pink. When it is first turned on it glows white first then turns slightly pink. Any ideas?
  2. I have a few items to sell after upgrades to my car. All parts are from a 1997 R33 GTR-V Spec with a genuine 60,000km. I am in Perth, but don't mind posting the items at your cost. 1. Set of 6 Original Top Feed Injectors (444cc) - $450 ono 2. Original Garrett Turbos x 2 - $250 each or $450 the pair 3. Greddy Clear timing belt cover for RB26DETT (unused) $75 4. Original GTR Fuel pump - $150 ono [a tachment=99219:DSC02513__Large_.JPG][atta hment=99221:DSC02516__Large_.JPG][attachm nt=99223:DSC02521__Large_.JPG]
  3. Hi I just want to find out the max power available from HKS GT-SS turbos I have 488hp at all four wheels (364KW) at 1.5bar (22psi) Post your results....
  4. The GT-SS turbos dont have a HKS cast housing, they do have HKS stamped on the actuator. The box should be HKS turned inside out.
  5. As well as coil packs it is also worth checking you boost duty settings and your dwell v rpm settings if you have had your car tuned. ie you have a power FC. I found that both my settings were too high. If the power FC detects boost more than 0.2bar above the boost setting it will apply a fuel/power cut. You need a datalogit to check all this stuff, justb letting you know it isn't always as simple as the coil packs. My car is now 100% after hesitating at 4-5k rpm. I did replace std coil packs with Splitfires but the problem persisted. Good Luck
  6. I forgot to add that these are just 'trackdays' or 'tuning' days. There is no racing pressure, just a chance to give your car a good fang with no real pressure on you.
  7. Thanks DJR81 for adding all the guff from WASCC. $250 per year plus $55 per all day track day session is very cheap compared to say the UK where 1 day at a circuit would cost you more than this offer for a whole year! There are about 3 or 4 trackdays per month throughout the year. I'd love to see a few more GTR's turn up at these trackdays. Weekdays are generally quieter than Saturdays. On Saturdays, instructors will be on hand to sit with you and point out your crap driving technique. You will realise the lmitations of your car quite quickly! I'll probably get there about 1-2pm on Sat (I'm busy in the morning). You can come up and have a look - No pressure to join or sign up. Sessions are usually 9am to 4pm. I have a datalogit and laptop, if you have a power FC I can log some data for you (Bring a memory stick). I have a silver R33 GTR V-Spec Rego : 33 GTR If your quick you should be able to reach about 220-230kph down the hill Membership runs from Jan to Jan, they usually reduce the price of membership around mid year.
  8. Sat 12 May 2007 is a trackday at Barbagallo Raceway, Wanneroo You need to be a member of WASCC to participate, you need a helmet and a long sleeve top. GTR's especially welcome. Come and give your car a good thrashing without the risk of a multinova!! This day is a standard tuning day and there are no discounts for SAU members. If you join you will get 1 trackday voucher. Most trackdays are about $55 per day. Regards Project Mu
  9. I'll give you $100 for the hand controller (if it is compatible with my PFC) PM me Thanks
  10. Hi I have a 1997 33 GTR V-Spec. I am trying to bleed the ATTESA hydraulics. The only guide I have is for an R32 GTR. There is a white plug under the drivers side kick panel which is pulled apart to cause the ATTESA hydraulic motor to run. Where is this white plug in an R33 GTR? Is it the one near the resevoir? I have tried searching all the forums on here and on GTR.co.uk How much pressure should there be with the pump running? My 4WD torque gauge is only going up to about 10 not 50. Thanks
  11. Update to Post #13 I've had my GT-SS turbos and JUN cams fitted and fettled. Mid range power improvement is dramatic. This is like a new car, almost no turbo lag whatsoever. The car pulls hard in any gear. I use for daily driver and occasional track day. The dyno run speaks for itself. 500Nm of torque at 3000rpm! The tuning was done on a Dynapack 4WD hub dyno. 488hp @ A4W. 13. Thanks Guys I found a secong hand wiring loom at Abbey Motorsport in the UK
  14. I dont know if the GTST one will fit. Maybe someone else can help? Are the Nissan part numbers the same? I guess not. Can you send me a photo of the climate control plugs?
  15. Hi I need a dashboard wiring harness for an 1997 R33 GTR V-Spec. I dont know if other series 1 looms will fit but I hope they will. Alternatively I need the green plugs and a couple of inches of wire which plug into the the climate control unit. My stereo was stolen from my car and they took the climate control unit as well. They just cut the wiring harness. Alternatively I could also get away with a wiring diagram for the climate control unit or photos of someones climate control wiring who has a similar car Thanks if you can help
