  1. Hey guys! It's been a whileeee! Reaching out asking for some help with voting for my photo! You may win a Canon 7D whilst at it! Thanks mate! https://apps.facebook.com/eosinspires/entry.php?id=1515
  2. Teins are not made in Japan anymore if i'm not wrong. A Jap mechanic also told me that quite a bit of people in the circuit scene in Japan avoid teins now. Very high chance that it's how the spring is seating. Bring it down a workshop who knows what they're doing to get it checked out.
  3. In regards to Auto clutch. I found out 1 year later he didn't put in the redline oil i supplied him. No wonder my gearbox felt funny when it came back. And i supplied 5 bottles of them just to be safe and i found it weird he said he used them all up when i collected my car. Just a heads up. But other than that, his price was good and service was good as well. Do consider changing your flywheel to a lighter one at the same time. Gives a little more response.
  4. Ogura carbon clutch. Drives almost like an organic, takes a lot of abuse and lasts damn long.
  5. ROFL. Yes .. it is indeed a sad day. RIP.
  6. I've been searching for a few days now but to no avail. Wondering if anyone here knows someplace or someone where i can rent a classic convertible. EG: MG, Merc, Jag etc. Anywhere from the early days till 1980s. I'm looking to rent one that can be self driven for my wedding day. All that i've seen so far must be chauffeured. If only i was gettin married in Sydney instead. There are tons there! Oh wells. Do give me a shout if you guys know anyone/anyshop. Thanks mates!
  7. I've heard mixed reviews about high flow turbos. You might want to surf the forums to check out why. IMO, go for a GTRS kit, if you can't afford it now, buy a cheap replacement 2nd hand, and save up till you have enough for the GTRS.
  8. Ok. Let's set this straight. The R33 ecu CANNOT be remapped. The R32 ecu can be chipped and remapped and bolted onto the R33. BUT! It does not take control of the VCT. So you can either run without VCT or you can get another ECU to control the VCT as well. Aftermarket ecus are aplenty. So take your time selecting one to support your future mods and plans for the car.
  9. Just makin sure no one is being silly now. LoL
  10. Seriously? You want to import a vehicle now when the AUD is at it's low? Just wonderin.
  11. Got pulled over twice, at the same corner, 5m away from my house. 1st time was due to me going round a round about too fast. 40+Km/hr too fast? Checked over my car, which everything is legal, and i've got paperwork for the mods. They were pretty nice, and gave me a warning on how i should go slower around a round about. There were 3 people in the car, seems like either after lunch, or showing the "newbie" how to pull people over. 2nd time was going at about 50+ on a 60 road. The cop chased me without lights on, tailgated me, and turned on his blinkers. I was like .. WTF? He told me i was going too fast. Again. 50+ on a 60 road. I told him i was going below 60 and he said it can't be, as he had to chase me down at a 100km. In my mind, i was thinking "DUH. If you were going at the same speed i was going, you'd never ever catch up to me." But i was nice, and just declined i was speeding. Next thing he says is, "You're going at almost 60 in a 50 zone." I knew he was finding a reason to give me shit. Oddly enough, after all that crap he said, all he did was walk around the car, check my ride height. Told me something about my wheels being too big, which i had the correct profile tyres on, although just a bit wide, which wouldn't affect my speed. He gave me a breath test, and sent me on my way. 5meters away from my house.
  12. I think there is an idle control on the ECU as well. Might want to check on that.
  13. Agreed. Exchange rates does affect the prices. There are many other factors that are involved as well. Like the company's hedge and stuff.
  14. The watermark totally kills the photo mate. LoL.
  15. Try the ORC carbon clutch. As you know drifters abuse their clutch like madness, like kicking and stuff... and it still holds up to the torture. A jap mechanic who does work for japan's drift cars told me that it feels almost like driving an organic, but it takes up to about 700hp. Well price wise... ahem....
  16. Paid $37 for turbo to dump gasket from Nissan. You should be able to get them from turbotech as well.
  17. clicking noise? Could it be the lifters? But then again, lifters wouldn't give such a problem.
  18. ^^^ I was wondering too?
  19. Do it right the first time, consider doing a full engine rebuild. So with that, a RB25 would be the cheaper option to go. The figures u're looking at is not hard to achieve with a 25. But the main question comes. What do you want to do with that power? Track? Drift? Drag? These do affect the way you setup your car in the end. Prowl the forums, and you'll get plenty of ideas for what you want to do.
  20. Dry is too rough, I like it wet. I'll definitely cum.
  21. Oh hai. Anyone know if any workshop in perth holds stock of bolt on turbo kits or a direct bolt on turbo for RB25 (not a stock, maybe a highflow would do)? Need ready stock on hand. Looking for something along the lines of a GT28RS. Cheers, Keith
  22. Nathan.. you're a prick!! Leave the poor people alone.. LOL
  23. Don't bother buying a china turbo, causes more problems than fixing it, prowl the threads on cheap china turbos and you'll understand.
