  5. A mate has bought an R33 for his wife and she is finding it too low.... he wants to return it to stock height before any more of it is left behind on driveways and carpark speed humps Im hoping someone has some stock springs sitting around due to fitting coilovers/aftermarket performance springs... Thanks, Caz..

  8. I have only 2 of these tyres. They are classed as blemished due to 2 letters on the sidewall being smudged during manufacture. *pup is not included * I can arrange freight to Bris, GC, Melb, Syd at reasonable cost or can arrange pick up WSID or Wollongong. Caz.. Caroline Felgate 0411021823 [email protected] I am in Thirroul, near Wollongong.
  9. Hey Beer Baron and Ronin, both of you are wrong. How about you dont make guess's and claim them as fact. Its misleading to others reading this post. Beer Baron you may well take an angle grinder to the corners of your track pads, but dont presume my supplier does the same. They don't. Elongating mounting holes would also be a very stupid thing to do. As would cutting off the friction material you have paid good $$ for. Ronin, your speil below is also a guess and implies the custom pads I use are a very shoddy, substandard product. Saying the friction material overhang is cut off the backing plate thus reducing footprint is WRONG. And no, you dont put new friction material onto an old backing plate, 100% correct on that one. These are all 'backyard' type fixes, the custom pads I supply are professionally done. "you can't add material at the bottom of the pad - all 'they' are doing is taking the top edge off the pad. you are not mataining the 'full face' of the pad anymore. that is unless you are putting a new friction material onto an old backing plate..." Ronin,
  10. I dont do them myself, its professional job and yes they are secretive with exact details of what they do and I have been respectful of that. I was just appreciative of their skill and product and their willingness to modify any pads I supply them so I can offer them with my upgrades. Caz..
  11. Hi AzzurrA, Nothing wrong with stock size DBA4000, they will do you well Im sure. That is what I was running before and they performed very well When using any caliper adaptor to allow the fitting of a larger than stock rotor with stock calipers the position the brake pad sits on the rotor is altered. Moving the caliper further out on the rotor leaves a small area of brake pad that sits outside the edge of the rotor. This has always been an accepted part of this type of upgrade as the benefits of all that extra disc space more than made up for the small loss of pad-rotor contact. By modifying the brake pad its position against the rotor is returned to optimal and you once again have full pad footprint on the rotor with no pad overhang. In my opinion the modded pads optimise the upgrade. By far the majority run with unmodded pads, but Im wondering if that is because they don't actually know they are available.?? I hope that explains it OK. Caz..
  12. Mine beeps in reverse and if you open the door with the keys in the ignition...used to beep at 100km/h but fixed that, used to cut at 185km/h, fixed that too. Caz..
  13. Im there. I've been watching the entries list, should be a good day Caz...
  14. Thankyou very much for the explanation, much appreciated and very logical! I will get a price for the DBA 5928-1 tomorrow and see where it sits. Cheers, Caz..
  15. Hi Dane, The price I have for DBA5000's 324mm is $469ea. Can someone who runs the 5000 series explain the benefits they have over a 4000series please? I don't get it. I understand the benefit of a two piece rotor to fit a custom hat for an upgrade but not as a bolt on.... I would imagine it would be possible to have an adaptor made for just about any setup requiring one. The big 6 piston AP Racing Caliper with the 330mm 2 pc rotor setup I sell has its own adaptor, so does the 4 piston. I haven't sold Willwood or Brembo but the Porsche 6 pot Caliper has an adaptor, so does Alcon. Cheers, Caz..
  16. Hey guys, The caliper adaptors I currently have are for R32 upgrade to 324mm GTR rotors. They are superb adaptors, 6061 T6 billet alloy, SS helicoils and Grade 12 high tensile allen key bolts. $220 for the pair with fittings. I have priced them as best as I can being the quality they are, somethings are cheaper buying in bulk but custom stuff usually isnt. For a cheaper option I can get them made in steel which apparently works fine but is considerably heavier. I can do DBA4000 series rotors 324mm for $235ea. RDA slotted 324mm $164ea I have the R33 caliper adaptors underway but not completed yet. I can also supply the 296mm to 343mm rotor brake upgrades with the two piece slotted rotors and custom alloy hats, my adaptors and custom brake pads for $1290.00 I am happy to quote on any brake upgrade you want. I also get brake pads modified to suit different upgrades, you dont have to have pad overhang, modding the pad returns full pad footprint to the rotor by dropping the positon in the caliper. Cheers, Caz..
