  1. nah, it only needs 16 pounds to get 205. no idea what it would take to lift the head. Christ I'm getting burned... In my defense: admittedly it's not a massive power figure, but if you were to put all that equipment on an engine with forgies etc, you'd be able to get heaps more power. id say over the 300rwkw mark maybe? couldnt work it out exactly.
  2. well yeah, it has the potential to support alot more power, but A- ive got stock internals so i wouldnt push it past the 230rwkw mark, and B- when i got it tuned, Sam (aka dr.drift) didnt want to turn up the boost any more until i put new head bolts in. apparently he's seen heads lift off the gasket from high boost on old head bolts and no, at this stage I'm not willing to seperate. cheers.   3. Hi guys. I'm selling all the bits off my 205rwkw R32 GTS-T as a whole package because i want to make my car stock again. I'm doing this to get out of debt, as i paid for all these mods with credit cards. Yes, I'm an idiot. Fun wile it lasted though! For the price of $8600 you'll get -Garret gt3071r good condition -Dr.Drift standard ECU remap -standard air box with k&n filter (modified to suit Z32 AF meter) -Z32 airflow meter -4" mandrel bend intake pipe -RB26 standard intercooler and piping to suit -bosch 040 fuel pump (internally mounted) -440cc injectors -38mm external wastegate, plumbed back -3" dump + front pipe (i kept the standard cat back to keep it a bit quieter- full 3" can be arranged) -Oil catch can -braided stainless oil and water lines -Adjustable cam gears -splitfire coil packs -excedy 5 puck clutch (strong yet street friendly) -greddy EBC profec II More stuff that i cant think of All of these things cost me well over $9000 for the parts only. It would take 1 weekend, maybe 2 for me to put all the mods onto your car. I have dyno sheets to prove. The mods are still in the current car, and I'd be happy to take you for a spin. I will set the cam gears to suit your engine on a dyno. This will include a dyno printout. RB20's are capable of handling more power, and all the mods could easily support more power, all it would take to get 230rwkw would be more tuning at DR.drift which i would be more than happy to organise. ANY (and i mean ANY) more modifications that you would like I can do at a decent price.   9. gidday all. i was driving along the other day and my clutch fork dropped out (manual r32 gts-t skyline 89 model). i just got the gear box off then and found that the mushroom part of the lever bolt (geussing thats what its called) has snapped off. my question is where do i find a new one? ill put some pics up tomorrow if needed. any help appreciated. i havent tried anywhere yet, i just assumed it might be a difficult part to source so thought id ask here first. cheers. james.

  14. hi all... im really worried. my car is leaking oil from somewhere around underneath the battery along that ledge sort of thing you can see. im going to take a very detailed search tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had some useful info in the meantime. The pic gives a rough visual on where it seems to be congregating. Im sure all of you understand the freak out that you experience when your pride and joy is misbehaving... any advice appreciated.
  15. i heard off a mate that if an oil seal is dry it wont seal properly till oil its hit. its been dry for about 12 months. so ive calmed down a bit, but can anyone verify if thats definately true? cheers.
  16. yes mate. you put it around where you think the noise is coming from and you can hear it very audibly when you find it. it wouldnt work if the car was running though because you couldnt hear it over the engine running. someone please answer the previous question please cos im really stressing and want to know what im in for. cheers. james.
  17. hi all. im in the process of bolting on a gt3071r with all the usual supporting mods onto my r32 gts-t. (rb20det) i was checking to see if there was any oil leaks in the block/ oil setup (the turbo and all parts are 80% attatched including lines) and i was blowing into the blow by return hose and there i could hear a faint noise of leaking air somewhere and i put a stethascope (spelling) to the compressor housing and the leaking noise was coming from the compressor inlet. does this mean i have a gone oil seal on the turbo or is it to be expected to leak air from the seal? it seems a fairly new turbo with only a tiny bit of shaft play. if it is a f***ed seal what are my options? didnt do a search sorry. im too stressed because ive spent so much of my time and money on this project im gunna flip. cheers. james.
  18. good day sir. as far as i can tell i dont believe there would be any difference in quality due to brand names, purely because it has such a simple job... ...dont quote me on that cos its not like ive checked every single type. i have installed (but havent actaully had the car running yet) a catch can from just jap and its all good. sealed up fine and the like. just a drain bolt that came with it was the wrong size. cost me about 50c from a bolt joint to get the right size. cheers. james EDIT: looks like the difference in type 1 and 2 is the catch can shape. so that just comes down to preference and what you could fit best in your engine bay.
