Thats pretty funny. With most companies these days, the premium is based off the age of the youngest driver, so either way, they would still be paying through the roof. And these days, good luck putting a car like that in mum n dads name with an u/25 on, even better u/20!! Justcars is pretty much your only option these days with that age.

Fuel pump may be dying. Increased power, increased boost - standard fuel pump in an older car wont last too long. I did similar mods ages ago, and same thing happened. I replaced fuel pump and also got a powerFC. Best mods ever. Yourself now, I'd be looking at some sort of engine management also.

Nathan, It all depends what you want to do mate. When you say race, as in grid racing like Improved Production or any "State series?" Or supersprints etc with other clubs? Doing any state rounds etc, Im pretty sure you'd need to modifiy the car in line with the rules and regs etc. If you joined the SSCC, you can do their interclub series with the alfa,hsv and wrx clubs. They do supersprints, hillclimbs and 'khana's. (these guys arent strict with mods and stuff!) With their classing, Im fairly sure you would be in the SVD class. I joined the SSCC and will be trying to get out to a few sprints. Pads? check out the suspension/braking section - theres a brake pad user rating guide in there! Well said Zilch. Cliffo - nearly every week there has been a "vs" thread started. We are quite sick of it, so I guess this thread was looking like it was heading in that direction. On topic, Id say drive both and go from there. Theres most likely only 1 company to insure you, justcars cause of your age. get a quote from them before you buy to see if you really can afford, and justify buying that car. My personal choice is the 34. Mind you STi's are still a great car with great performance.
