hi all,
have just been looking at the hiclone website for the missuses jackaroo and noticed that they also do them for skylines and supposedly with good results. anyone got any guff on this.
im due for my big service now, going to in tune performance, located in bibra lakes SOR, getting timing belt changed, all fan belts changed, coolant replaced, oil replaced, safc dyno tuned, walbro fuel pump fitted. costing $800.
hey newbie101, i done my apprenticeship at muja and working at kwinana whats ya last name??probably know you. and yes you are right, you can just about go anywhere these days diesel fitter doing mech fitter job, mechanic doing mech fitter and deisel mechanic and vice versa.
no, a mechanical fitter, diesel fitters works on industrial motors, i work on machinery that produces electricity, eg gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps, boilers and wopping big fans . work for verve energy at kwinana power station.
yeh, because of the lack of mechanical fitters (my trade), the company's up north and even around Perth are picking up there local mechanic to do this job , but do you blame them when the money is so good.
power holds the time between gear changes for longer. but if you put your foot down the computer will do this anyway( does not give you more power). snow is as 95sky says, you take of in 2nd gear, so will not spin tyres in the **snow**.
i got a small vid of the begining of the spin on my camera, daughter thought is was me (to many grey skylines on the night) and and decided to look instead of taking all of the spinout. will post soon
well i had a great night. finally beat my pb of 14.08 and picked up a 13.799 @ 165km . thanks to strich9 for being there with me
will have to update my avatar below.
think caltex is doing it as well, warnbro caltex is in bits, maybe the 98 ron is going in there. by a report link posted here beginning of last year, caltex 98 was way better than bp ultimate.
