  1. yeah no probs mate, i know 304 is stainless, but my "its shit" comment refers to the fact that its not really any good in an exhaust application that sees rapid heat cycles. 304 is what most china dumps are made out of, hence the cracking issues. AM performance dumps are made out of 316 manily and 409 is optional if you wish to spend a bit more. have used 316 exhaust from the turbo back on my R32 drift car, for many meets, which saw lots of heat cycles, making 280 rwkw and never ever had a problem.
  2. well considering that it boosts to 15 psi with the actuator disconnected and flap held open, that eliminates boost control, wastagate flap, actuator and so on. so all thats left is tune, exhaust and turbo. at this stage im thinking a bellmouth dump might be the way to go?
  3. turbing diameter is 44mm when compared to a T28 which is 50 something mm. so you think that this turbo isnt really suited for my application?
  4. hmmm, yeah there are a lot of people running them on CA's and SR's with no problem.... maybe the turbine is too small tho...

AM Performance make a range of high quality, locally made, performance split (return or screamer) or bellmouth style dumps. all are made out of stainless (not 304 which is shit) and is guarenteed NOT to crack. straight bolt on fit. Here is mine, its a screamer and as you can see, goes into the turbine itself as to seel it from the gate side of things... wont leak on idle. AM Performance can be contacted on [email protected]

  7. Ok its not a RB, its an SR, however same shit still applies and i know there are some smart cookies on this forum. So i have a NA s14 SR converted to DET. the turbo of choice is a PE1420 on stock manifold and various other things. Have s15 injectors, power fc and a host of other support systems for it all. ran it up on the dyno and straight away its overboosting to 15 psi. wouldnt be a problem normally but being a NA motor and high compression,l it was starting to ping on the dyno. so timing was backed off until it was ok. We assumed it was the actuator being a 1 bar item. Disconnected it and did a dyno run with the gate flap held open all the way, and it still boosts to 15 psi at top end. so... theres a problem. was going to take the turbo off and die grind the wastegate hole larger, however on closer inspection there doesnt look like enough material left to do this and still have the flap closed and sealing it. am thinking that it may be the dump that is causing the problem here. myself and m exhaust maker have tried a few diff dump designs in the past on my skyline and the split dump usually works really well... gives more power and faster spooling when compared to a normal bell mouth dump. a split dump was made for my rolla project then, and space was an issue (theres stuff all room between back of turbo and the firewall.) and i think that its not free flowing enough for the gate. has anyone else had this prob with the PE1420? whats the lowerst boost u can run on one of these? it could be that the turbo itself wont run lower then a bar anyway..... in which case, what should i do?

  9. I have for sale a full set of HSD HR's to suit an R32 skyline with custom rates of 7kg front and 5kg rear, These are not very old and would not have even totaled 3000kms on the road. Absolutely awesome susp and has performed faultlessly in my 32. very comfortable on the street and yet does a great job on the track. Still like new, perfect condition absolutely NO NOISES, LEAKS or DAMAGE. ALSO Camber arms and traction rods to suit S13/R32/A31 etc, These are from Driftshop.com and again, same deal with the HSD's, near new and have performed faultlessly. no play in bearings at all and no damage to arms. Buy the HSD's and the arms together for $1400 (neg) and save yourself $700 or so! I am in adelaide and can drop off or arrange to meet up. SMS 0409 567 603 or PM me.

I have had a lot of fun with this car and it was an absolute pig when i first got it, so its come a long way since then. Car handles and drives like a dream, the motor is very healthy, plenty of compression and has only 80,000 kms on it (60,000 when i first got it from a very low K halfcut) I drove this interstate and daily for ages and had no drama's. the bad rear bar is stock, and in the stock maroon colour, i had a vertex rear on it and it got smashed, so i never got around to getting another rear for it, Price has been adjusted to take this into account. Also the car has been drifted, but hasnt every import at some stage, thats not to say it hasnt been looked after, read above. mechanically the car is A1. The interior is not mint, but at the same time its not some stripped out piece of shit either. Price $13,500 - car will be sold with 3 months SA rego on it. I have no current pics sorry, will try and get some soon, however it looks the same as these pics. just minus the Work XD9's and no they do not go with the car.   14. have for sale a 4.3 R200 fully rebuilt Tomei Trax LSD, has done little driving since rebuilt and works a treat. the diff is a 5 bolt flange out of a R32 so will suit Skyline, cefiro or Silvia Now i am after a stock R200 LSD in either 4.1 or 4.3 ratio in exchange, dont want anything noisy. Im asking $700 for the rebuilt diff, + swaps I dont need to post pics do i? i think everyone knows what a Diff looks like Im in SA, PM or sms 0409 567 603
