  1. i know it will under steer lol anything thats a daily and not set up, and with average tyres on it... will at some point understeer like a WRX on ice....
  2. yeah i think i said the exact same thing in another thread somewhere... once the 33 ecu is remapped, its a better ecu then a Power FC thats for sure.. however most go the PFC for ease of use and more tuners. Theres a few ppl doing 33 remaps now... but for me, the 20 ecu + a RPM switch works a treat (i havent hooked up an rpm switch yet but its possible to do so that you can retain the VCT) As for the original poster... while nothing is impossible.. its highly unlikely the stock ecu will allow you to run anything more then 10 psi without some form of rich and retard, and there fore limiting the power output. So this suggest that you may well have a SAFC hidden away uunder the dash, or possible a japanese remapped/chipped 33 ecu... i'd pull the kick panel off and look at the loom for spliced wires and have a look at the ecu and see if theres anything non standard about it. the stock turbos do however make good power. as mentioned mine made 220 rwkw on 13 psi, with a remapped 20 ecu, no VCT and bulk torque and responce.. i was really happy with it
  3. nothing wrong with that either except it takes ages, gear oil is quite thick and takes a while to go through a plastic tube. Ive done it before and heated up the oil in the microwave to thin it out a bit
  4. nah its all junk, save your cash and just buy a new garret
  5. yeah im entering turn 1 at 160 these days lol you can drift anything... to a point, tho a c210 with 3 speed auto and shock susp (i assume) is not going to be much fun really. sure you might get it sideways a couple of times but you'll spend forever rolling and understeering around...
  6. yeah theres two ways of overfilling... jacked at an angle like so. or by doing what i do and filling through the shifter hole as its 10 times easier. I make sure that old oil is all drained out and that i put in the exact amount. all good
  7. i use and have used for the last 5 years, Penrite Limslip 140. its good stuff and only 25 bucks for 2.5L... stands up to competition drift etc etc. Can get a new diff cover seal cfrom most parts stores, they may have to order it in, but as i said.. its not all a hard job, one that you can do yourself.
  8. binding doesnt help thats for sure, any bends in the drive will cause bouncing... exp when the cable set up is 15 years old now q
  9. sorry, i stuffed up there! The box should never be underfilled... Its designed to be filled to capacity, no more and no less
  10. yeah, best solution for me was to drill a hole through the base of the drive, through to the shaft and out the other side then tap a roll pin through it.
  11. the diff and box should always be filled up to capacity and underfilled...
  12. the seal is most likely fubar... this requires taking the diff out (about 45 mins work) then taking the back cover off the diff after draining the oil out.. remove old seal, get new one, clean both surfaces and put seal in, fill qwith new oil then put cover back on. reinstall.. wont cost much.. around 15 bucks.
  13. What he said... Go to All Type Crash, they are skyline finatics! and at last count there are 7 of them in the workshop atm getting repared up. if that doesnt make them experts then i dont know what You can expect quality work from Hayden and Allan, at a reasonable price unlike doyals which seems to charge the earth.
  14. well the VL's run a T3 turbo, which is similar to the RB20/25 turbos... but im not 100% sure if the oil and water sizes are the same or not
  15. too late thats already been done lol nice work on getting the car tho... its got the gear, just needs a driver to drive it!
  16. Sled: you are 100% correct in saying there are plenty of older generation enthusiasts who wish there was a drag strip again and dont conform to the usual "old fuddy duddy" stereotype... at the same time, we all know that the Baby Boomer generation is one of the most cashed up. Im sure that if enough people got together, pooled their assets, that a facility could be built in SA to cater for both drag, drift and circuit. that would be profitable..... shits me off cause everyone knows how bad the motorsport scene is in SA atm.... with Mallala being the only track... and an average one at that run by CAMS (which, mind you, is formed by a bunch of old farts with no f**king clue) but yet not much is being done about it. If the State government really gave a rats arse, they would do what the NSW and WA state governments did and build a state/private funded track1 (WA track is both state and private funded i believe while WSID is state funded)
  17. lol should have learnt after the ceffy... they are a BITCH to keep clean!!!!!
  18. no love for the 32's hey flick
  19. nothing of mine or hayden's car?
  20. wait wait... brentons car screams?? what bout mine hahaha yeah AM performance exhaust FTW!!
  21. i call BS on the un even spray... irs more or less due to the fact that a FPR change means that you have to retune it, cause the FPR is spraying more fuel in per given time on the injector... so the injector timing needs to be brought back.
  22. yeah they were pretty close to 100% tho not quite hitting it... I certainly didnt want to run this much boost and on maxed out injectors.. so we wound the boost down and retuned for 265 rwkw... still heaps of head room with the injectors. however the rail pressure is higher, i'm going to chuck a set of S15 injectors in there and then still run the FPR but only have the railpressure slightly more then stock.
  23. I have had better days thats for sure... i changed a lot in my rear suspension AND i changed ,y diff ratio from a 4.3 to a 4.1 and the car is just shit now... so laggy. i managed to adapt to the suspension changes... makes it harder to drive but theres a lot of grip there... now i just need to change the diff back to a 4.3. was def having an off night... made so many mistakes and miss shifts. i was pretty pissed off with myself but then i remembered drift is suppose to be enjoyable lol. Hayden and i had a couple of close runs but he had a lot of drama with rear grip also... a total lack of it!
  24. nice one richo! pm me if you still need my help
  25. i have proven that you can make good power with FPR and pump.... mine made 283 rwkw on STOCK INJECTORS with a malpassi rising rate. even now in its current trim it makes 265 rwkw, still stock injectors and less boost to keep it reliable. that said tho.. more pressure in the rail puts more strain on various parts, such as the pump, o rings, injectors themselves etc... the risk of failure is higher. So ive decided to upgrade my injectors and back the fuel pressure off a bit. and aim to make the same power (adding cams to but thats a different story)
