  1. started at winton.. would just push water out the rad and boil then get hotter and hotter. have changed thermostat, clutch fan, and radiator cap.. didnt solve it. pressure tested, leak down tested and comp tested ebverything and didnt show any faults. someone suggested a possible head or gasket issues so i thought f**k it i'll pull it off and do MLS and ARP studs anyway. so thats what ive done so far
  2. i got another bottom end that im going to start building up on the side... so if something happens i'll chuck that in. as for the cooling issues.. well first i need to find the prob. head came back with zero faults. could still have been gasket issue. i'll take the water pump out next and then go from there. thinking i might ditch the alloy rad to and just run a GTR oem radiator
  3. didnt pull it down that far. motor seems to be fine now.. have done another oil change and no more material in the oil
  4. you with just cars? if so then defo go to all type.. they will quote it and they are an approved repairer for just cars also
  5. cheers mate haha yeah that rusty car is pickerings car... no idea what possessed him to ruin a good shell by making it go rusty
  6. you do realise that a neo turbo is no laggier then a 2530?
  7. haha no.. was just sayiong earlier todasy that our usernames are too confusing.. since i no longer have a 32 i have requested a username change.
  8. actually i just went out to the shed... the china core reads 16mm from top of cap to base of seal where as a stock OEM r32 core is 17mm.. a whole 1m difference SHORTER. not sure if that will affect anything tho
  9. no shit.... defo something to think about! could measure the depth of the neck using a vernier caliper vrs a stock one.. i will report back my findings tomorrow
  10. wait wheres the pinging? that white shit on the crown of the piston is just powder.. it wipes off. think its moisture from idling befire i ripped the head off. but thanks for the list... i will carbon copy it (90% of the way there as it is) and see how i go
  11. lol turbo timer not needed for track cars either. 1 cool down lap + idle into pits and then shut it down is just fine
  12. have seen it before. you can thrash the shit out of the motor, run it red hot. switch off.. etc etc and it wont crack. run 20 psi all day every day and it wont crack the manifold.. other stuff will fail before the manifold. the one i saw crack was on a daily driven stock r33 with NO mods. put it down to casting failure....
  13. yeah only reason i cant fit anything atm is due to the 52mm rad... might go back to a stock GTR rad and see how that goes. at the end of the day at least ive done MLS and ARP bolts so motor should be even more reliable then it already is lol. if i still cant solve the cooling issue... i'll run the radiator in the boot. and run a massive ducting system with huge fans pulling the air thro lol
  14. good to hear mate... you'll be loving it once its up and running
  15. ive changed it several times.. but yeah you could be onto something. i wanted to do AU thermo fans but have no room to do so
  16. you can have head gasket issues without leaking oil into water and vice versa. no its not blowing any smoke and no leaks. its actually pushing the coolant OUT of the rad into the overflow and not sucking it back in. dropped head off to Rhemac and they seem to think its highly likely theres combustion pressure eascaping into a watter gallery under high load.
  17. I drove an Rb20 with a HKS 2510 and it was one of the most fun packages ever.. sure it didnt have huge peak power but it was so responsive and stacks of midrange! perfect turbo for street/track duties. 2530 is as big as i would go on a 20
  18. can i pls get my username changed to Simon-S14 since i no longer have a 32
  19. yeah i'll get onto the name change lol. you injectors should be fine but doubt the pump will keep up with the flow. if you cant be bothered going twin pump look into a much larger single pump. on another note. got my head off atm to hopefully fix cooling issues.. anyway heres some pics of the 25 which is stock bottom end pushing 360+ rwkw... everything looks mint!
  20. got my head off atm to hopefully fix cooling issues.. anyway heres some pics of the 25 which is stock bottom end pushing 360+ rwkw... everything looks mint!
  21. unsure mate as i went from 60lb deka's to 80 lb deka's at the same time. along with doing the twin pump and twin hard line duel entry rail. needless to say its overkill and sits nicely well below anywhere near maxed out. btw these usernames are confusing lol
  22. Luke T media's pics... max awesomeness
  23. arounbd 30-40 depending on car
  24. heads off... motor is mint. good to see with the thrashing its had with 360 + rwkw on stock motor and e85 that the bores are perfect, pistons perfect and so is the chamber and valves. no fault with HG or anything.. gonna crack test the head tho might still b a slight fault thats hard to see
