  1. i bought a good cond motor thats been sitting around for years. anyway long sotry short put it in my car and yet to start it, have put high mount turbo and various other things on it, see my sig for a full run down but i started cranking it over briefly today to try and get some oil coming thro the feed line for the turbo and nothing comes out. how long does it take to build pressure? keep in mind ive fitted an oil cool;er set up (poured oil in it) and its been sitting round for ages.
  2. yeah i know, its junk, its being used as a dust cover atm lol
  3. he can do those heat shields for anyone if you specify the turbo your running!
  4. thanks buddy i'll give it a go
  5. i wouldnt go any smaller then what i ran. was making full boost by 3200 - 3500 rpm, hard to judge sometimes as it shot up pretty damn quick. with cams was seriously responsive. No VCT used either. With no cams it required 20 psi to make same power and kinda lacked some midrange but still went well.
  6. too many variables in it to answer a question like that.........
  7. yeah the guide is for R33 RB25, wasnt sure if it was diff for neo or not
  8. the OP should search my post history and suss out my results on my car. i too had/have a r32 4 door drift car with rb25det. I was making 280 rwkw with a 3071R with .73 rear housing still lowmount and IW. I also ran cams and saw peak power at 6900 rpm at 16 psi. There was stacks of midrange and had no issues frying the tyres.
  9. how much boost, and what dump
  10. yeah i get what your saying mate, however i much rather save for a propper one instead of just going a ebay copy, those things tend to be iffy at best of times.
  11. Ok im wiring a z32 plug to a neo RB25 loom. z32 has 6 wires and neo has 3 + shield. what goes to what?? Wires on the left are neo loom and on right is plug.
  12. More work done... cooler piping has been done but i didnt get pics of it all on as i need some joiners. Heres a pic of what the top pipe will look like. Got gauges in, the pivots that were in the car either didnt work or were missing senders, only one remains and thats the oil temp one. the others are various miss matched guage... in fact every guage is a different brand. im gonna start a trend here!
  13. what sort of power is it making now? 270-280 seems to be the max for these types of set up's regardless of if its a 3071 or 76, the rear housing and wheel spec just cant flow much more then that.
  14. dare say the turbo timer is still an issue, remove it or disconnect it fully and see how that goes.
  15. Andrew knocked up a heatshield for the turbo... looks rad!
  16. cheers mate i searched for that user and i found a member called MAYHEM but last active post was 2008. sure it's the same guy? or maybe you have an email addy for him?
  17. anyone got a neo ecu out of a stag at all they want to sell? pm me
  18. Chang, have you got a stock ECU lying around that you can sell? after a turbo neo ecu
  19. measure the diameter, it's highly likely a VL or R31 RB30 one will be the same, if so then local anywhere
  20. thats your PCV valve, fit a new one and plug it back in. they are pretty cheap
  21. sent a PM never got a reply. still need one ASAP
  22. i had a lot of success with my 3071r which had 0.71 rear OP6 housing, It did require a lot of work to make it fit, and almost every turbo will have to have the housings rotated to fit if they are not a direct bolt on replacement. 1 bar isnt really enough boost to get the most out of these turbos. Mine made 280 ish rwkw on 16-17 psi this was with cams tho. it made same power without cams but required 20ish psi to do the same job. all in all. a great turbo with decent response.
  23. yeah your always going to suffer loss of power on hot days, i wouldnt even be boosting it in that kind of weather
