Sounds like a vacuum/afm problem like mine had. are u running a pod filter? and check ur vacuum lines to ur manifold etc. Mine had the exact same symptoms. I found myself driving along and having to slid it into nuetral mid-turn, restart it and carry on driving. embarassing.

Glad this topic was started - i wasnt aware theat is was basically just a facelift from S1 to S2 autechs. Bit dodgy, really.... could be misleading to those who dont do their research. For the price difference, get an S1 and put an R34 front on it, id say. thats my plan anyway. Apart from the 6 speed, what differences are there between the drive train of the C34 Autech and the R34 GTR?

OK as most of u are aware my stagea, and nearly myself too - met an untimely death at the hands of a pole. The car is A1 from the front doors, back. Nothin rear of the front guards was touched, save for the side skirts are cracked but repairable, as well as the rear bar. Doors, trims, interior seats etc. Anyone thats seen the car knows it gets cleaned, vacuumed and amouralled weekly, so if something pops into ur head u might want, let me know. MRO it includes piping, silicon joiners, stainless brackets. It all fitted perfectly to the stagea mounting points so i dunno the drama with the just jap ones...

What u need is a frequency expander, worked wonders in mine. Dont pay more than $20 for an aepro one. Goes between ur antenna cable and the plug in the headunit, and has a power cable you link to ur accessories.

All that survived - me with not a scratch, and the grille, not a scratch... Neither seems possible but here we are. U need a driver side door switch set, dont u ska????

Future plans?? BUY A NEW ONE. Cheap autech 260. S1, cheapest i can find. Rebuild engine with big single turbo. R34 GTR front end conversion from MASA. Pump rear guards a lil, fit some matt black or black chrome dishy wheels Paint it silvery blue, really light, bit of a pearl in it. Try to get complete untinted windows, like Newbies. Leave em clear. Put my stereo with custom box, 6 amps 4 subs etc which was sitting AT WORK WAITING TO BE PUT IN after being painted, in the back. Time - two years $$$$ - more than my first attempt New number plates - [ROUND 2] - for obvious reasons.

The kit, id assume, hey. U can pick up a GKTech intercooler (same as mine and Andys EGA41T) for about $400 delivered. Polishes up beautifully, and after a run u can burn urself on the turbo side and see condensation on the other side.

Its so u know shes in reverse bud. same thing that beeps when ur lights are on. U cant just disconnect it tho, it disables ur central locking (beats me how) u need to keep the beeper connected, just bust the lil speaker in it.

next stagea will be an autech 260, prob S1, cheapest one i can find. Will be off the road for a couple of years probably, getting a 34 front end conversion and engine rebuild, probably a big single turbo. Would like to widen the rear guards to fit some deepish wheels. Colour - silvery light blue, like the new toyota colour. Seen it on echos and camrys. Wheels - Matt black 18s. Would like windows like newbies, no tint, if possible. Nismo side skirts, factory rear bar. Gotta get back in the saddle. But gonna do it properly, and get a damn daily driver like a R31 or something to put round in. YES MY CAR IS TO BE PARTED OUT Anything from the firewall back is A++ condition. Those who saw my car know that its cleaned and amouralled in and out weekly, so yeah. haha there is seriously not a scratch, dent or chip from the doors back.
