lol lol lol Naa mate, wasn't relating to duration!

My slap with the CP's is heard clearly behind the wheel never mind outside for a good five minutes. Using Titan Fuchs oil. But I have to say man, I wouldn't trade this engine for anything. Gets up and goes like a 15 yr old boy on his first root.
-
Nothin to do with RB30 But would you believe I saw one of these for sale in the UK last Feb for 115,000 pounds !
-
Cubes, Bore wear, is something I haven't really considered as a problem, given use of quality oil and maintenance. After how many kms roughly would you expect wear ? Don't the rings take most of the contact ?
-
Couldn't agree with you more on that. Every time I lose it, my lady calls me immature. Imagine that... Anyway, I think one of my next consideration is some bloody good tyres. Right now I'm still on some hard compound Falkens. Had them for 3.5 years and still less than half worn ! All I really want is 0-100 in 4 secs but my mates reckon I need 4WD for that. I guess maybe without slicks they're right.

Come on guys, These engines are pushing between 400 - 500 fwhp mildly, never mind worked. Everyone says they're happy with their power, but next thing you know you're back in the Nengun homepage before you've even payed off your last tune ! Just a little more... Then, you're slowly creeping up to the 300 kw mark, and you wished you had that perfect bulletproof bottom end. Anyway Cubes, you got Wisecos, I bet you want a hell of a lot more than 50,000 k's.
-
Spot on ! CP RB30 are 8.3:1, exactly the same ratio as the stock RB25DET engine, after 20 thou deck off the block. Same as Wiseco.

That's interesting to hear as I've been told quite the opposite. When I cracked a crown and threw a rod last year, I spent some time over my options on the re-build. After stressing that I want a car that I can thrash from time to time, do it again tommorrow, and come home the next with no problems, I was told having a forged bottom end should last me a long time, with care and maintenance. Already I've read three incidents of cracked stock rods, pistons with an RB30 conversion right here in this forum! I'm not one for annual pull-downs nor could I ever afford it. My Grandmother used to say"We are not so rich to buy so poor", meaning one can spend more money in life replacing low quality things as opposed to acquiring quality to start with. I don't see why some people think that selecting forged components = race engine. I see it as eliminating possiblities for fatigue and failure for those components in an every day road engine.

Yes, side feed RB25DET ones. Currently pushing 96 % duty. My engine rebuild was a complete strip down. Everything was pulled apart and re-assembled from scratch. Mechanic noted fuel pressure can still go higher but the seals on these stock injectors might leak, from previous experience.
-
fuel pressure: 37 psi on idle 68 psi on full throttle ps:Fuel pressure gauge is down in front of my shifter. Lost traction big time whilst looking down. I'll try and choose a less busy road next time !
-
Just confirmed the following , Dynapack and Dyno Dynamics are both accurate but will read different because of their design. Dynapack is measured at the wheels and is preferred by some because it is quicker to tune on and more sensitive. Also doesn't have traction issues.
-
Stock cams, block was bled down, bored and honed 20 thou over. Stock springs, completely stock head. Forged pistons rods and rings. That's it.

What fuel are you running? Turbo specs? What fuel pressure are you running? Vortex Turbo specs editted in the results thread Will get back to you with fuel pressure, haven't been game to take my eyes off the road yet. Mechanic says I still have more pressure available but he's worried about the injector seals leaking. Apparently stock ones have done this. Also will post an in-car vid soon as soon as I can find a way to hold the camera still. Don't want another video of ugly feet...

Only when I first bought it. I had different mechanics who stuffed up the fuel maps even more. It showed 192 kw on a MDXDyno. Had bad burble problem , the car ran horribly compared to when I had it tuned at Joviant Performance, came back at 247 kw off the hub. It would be interesting to see the difference.
-
Here's the AFR graph from the same test.
-
No 294 kw at 15.2 psi Power graph and pressure graph was the same test

It looks like stock housings to me. The dealer I bought it from said it was a T3/T4 Hybrid. I don't know for sure. See pics... It was bored out to the max on the compressor housing. Bugger all meat left on the intake. Also, before I blew up the RB25DET with this turbo, it had 247 kw. That dyno graph is also posted.

Hey, Just got the power tune done and very happy with the results. The car is so responsive it's not funny and I _______ mean it ! We're all quite surprised with the power output and especially the turbo. Having the high-flowed stock turbo was always questionable, but even more than before the conversion, it spools up so quick and holds 18 psi efficiently. I've been considering a GT35/40 onto the stock manifold but I'm now reluctant to change anything given the instant boost. The accelleration is just exhilarating and I _______ mean it ! Tuned to 15 psi due to stock injectors we got 294 rwkw / 508 fwhp. Next service, will go for Sard 550's and push the turbo as hard as possible. Nengun will deliver for $674.00 !, bugger high flowed injectors.. Dyno graph posted in the RB30 results. God bless Nissan and everyone who's been part of this conversion.

High flowed injectors may cause rough idle if you don't have full sequential control and/or suffiecient fuel management.

I hope you got good brakes man
