Greddy lightweight pulleys on rb25?
project 500 replied to project 500's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
I have heard underdrive alternator pulleys are no good for street, the greddy one is normal size. I'm not gonna drill my existing ones out lol. Too much effort for me 😀 -

Cheers mate, I don't expect anything noticeable, maybe 0.1% but it looks better and I'm changing a few things anyways so I can make it look a bit ricier in the process. Lol I'd prefer to keep the carnage to shredding a set off on a "private road" Lol sounds too good to be true -
Greddy lightweight pulleys on rb25?

In the link you shared it says that the alternator and water pump pulley offsets, groove count and diameter are all the same across RBs. If that's the case I could use those 2 pulleys and not worry about the PS pulley, is that correct or am I completely missing something? -

Does anyone know the diameters of the rb26 and 25 neo water pump and alternator pulleys? -

They do look cool though Lol I'd rather pay for the greddy ones -

Lolol, aren't the greddy ones lighter though? Meaning less drag on the crankshaft? -

Cheers I didn't know that. I have an r34 neo, wondering if for the PS pulley I could put something behind it to make it stick out more lol if not I can use the 2 greddy ones at least. -
Pull type clutches pulling out release bearing?
project 500 replied to project 500's topic in Drivetrain and transmission
I was going for either the Nismo coppermix twin plate or the OS Giken STR twin plate push conversion kit. Should hold up the power I want. Currently have no bite in my clutch at all and have to ride the piss out of it to take off -
Differences in oil caps?
project 500 replied to project 500's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
https://www.jdmgarage.com.au/shop/engine/engine-accessories/oil-caps/genuine-r32-gtr-oil-cap-15255-d5501/ That says non neo rb25, I just though maybe it didn't clear the plastic cover or something -

Differences in oil caps?
project 500 replied to project 500's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Cheers lol, I think the Jun oil filter caps say they only fit rb20 and rb26. Also saw on another site that a stock GTR cap didn't fit a neo. I only have a Neo r34 so can't really check for differences -
R34 GTT acceleration problems
project 500 replied to zspec's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
I reckon coilpacks too. Mine went at exactly 100,000kms -
In the process of riding up my car lol, am trying to get a decent looking oil cap. Some say they are fine to fit all RBs or even all Nissan, others like a stock GTR oil cap say rb20/25/26 but they won't fit a neo rb25. Is this due to the stock plastic engine cover or is there something else different?

I know this has been discussed, after someone that can do it in Vic or Tassie if possible? And what it will cost to get done. TIA

Im in Hobart Pipster. The injectors have 12v going to them. We have also adjusted the timing. The LED on the ECU shouldnt be going out though should it?
-
Ive done the rb25det box conversion and it was about a 1 hour job if you have the parts.....and a hoist. Ive also got an rb26dett R32 gearbox with the yolk if your interested. Tougher again than the 25det box.

Is it to the cat? or just to the front pipe?

To put stuff in the back lol! Possibly a matress to pimp out some lovelys on! Go the r31s!!

Hey all, Have a bit of an issue with this friggen r31. When the car is switched to the on position, the ECU LED lights up. Fuel pump primes. When im cranking the engine, the LED on the ECU goes out, although the starter motor is still cranking, the plugs are sparking and the injectors are pulsing. The car of course wont kick over, just pops everynow and then. Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening? Ive had it wired up by a mate and he is saying that everything should be fine?!? Cheers in advance, Jon

In about 2 weeks ill be able to show you my brothers rb24 build. Mechanics are arseing around a fair bit. Should have been on the dyno last week........ Used a mixture of tomei parts and rb26. Ported head (tomei cams to come after a few thousand kms) garrett gt3040r turbo, nistune ecu. Made well over 220rwkw with the worst tune ever (stock r31 ecu and SAFC2 lol) He is hoping for over 300rwkw after the cams go in. Oh and its in a black HR31 coupe.

Ill buy some standard wheels off it if you happen to buy a car man.

I registered mine with a pod filter mate, also with HKS coilovers and 18's, did you really need the airbox?
