  1. Still for sale? Any chance of some pics?
  2. Not sure if they are actually cheap compared to repco or whatever but they seem cheap to me especially for the pair! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R30-RM30-RMR30-REAR-Disc-Brake-Rotors-NEW-PAIR-WARRANTY-/130693417173?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e6def48d5 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R30-RM30-RMR30-FRONT-Disc-Brake-Rotors-NEW-PAIR-WARRANTY-/130693419267?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e6def5103 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SLOTTED-Nissan-Skyline-R30-RM30-RMR30-REAR-Disc-Brake-Rotors-NEW-PAIR-/120911045882?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c26dc24fa http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SLOTTED-Nissan-Skyline-R30-RM30-RMR30-FRONT-Disc-Brake-Rotors-NEW-PAIR-/120911049700?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c26dc33e4
  3. I could never get my old paint to look new again. Now i see the best form of maintenance is shelter, and regular polishing.
  4. You probably need to increase wheel size to 16in to fit the brakes properly so you can have a better offset rim.
  5. Thanks for all the info. These cars always seem to be a work in progress..
  6. I dont think its the bottle itself that is leaking but either one of the hoses or the pump unit itself is just faulty now. I have filled the bottle half way, blocked the hole at the bottom and blown into it with no water seepage at all. I know it leaks from somwhere near the unit coz its always wet there. Its just annoying, when i actually want to use the washer wipers sometimes theres no water in there!
  7. Ok, so another problem has come to my attention of late as the car gets older and older. My washer bottle doesnt hold water! It slowly leaks over a few days to just over a week. I cant work out where the leak is coming from. I replaced that little black rubber that connects the pump to the bottle. I opened the bottom plate of the pump where the rubber o ring is and put silicone all around. STILL LEAKS! anyone come across the problem and fixed it successfully? is it just a matter of another trip to the wreckers to get a new unit? Cheers Nick
  8. Thanks for the insight. Ill have to keep an eye out at the wreckers. Cheers!
  9. I like that a lot! Simple simplified. I like the idea of sticking to factory bushes. Makes replacement easy for everyone involved. The front bar of the pintara is different to the skyline r31?
  10. I acutally have a set of BNR32 front brakes, just waiting on my current pads to be finished before i put them on. So that will take care of the braking. Seems like there are a few options for me in regards to suspension parts. I like the idea of using parts off other cars to make mine better. Try to stay away from aftermarket as much as possible. Its easier and usualy cheaper. Sounds like sway bar upgrades are highly recommended though so ill have to look into it further. What about a strut brace? are they worth investing in too?
  11. Thanks, it goes to show it pays to read the adds carefully. He still should have a picture of what he's actually selling, would be much more useful.
  12. All standard sway bars, I have Tein HR coilovers on all 4 corners, not exactly sure of the poundage they are either 10/8 or 12/10. I wouldnt mind maybe getting into some track days but its still my daily driver. Maybe i should just change all the rear sway bar bushes for now as im probably not gonna notice much difference on the road? I wanna improve my handling to make it as good as possible. Ive always focused all my efforts into engine and driveline, now i just want to improve other aspects such as handling and braking. cheers
  13. Im interested to know what the difference between these two rear sway bars is; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R30-Whiteline-Rear-Swaybar-/260820697063?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cba1fffe7 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R30-Rear-Whiteline-Swaybar-/260812530194?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cb9a36212 It looks to me that either of them look anything like the standard bar, and mounting points are also totally different. Any opinions on upgrading original sway bars? Or is a good set of bushes enough?
  14. Just picked up a set of brand new cables made by www.autocables.com.au you have to take the originals to him and he'll make up new ones. I learnt that more often then not the cables are not stretched but they are actually seized up. In actual fact the cables should never stretch..
  15. Just people that sell brake parts, discs, pads, clutches they also rebuild brake masters, clutch masters etc.. Ive always used better brakes they are near moorabbin airport.
  16. your mechanic is ripping you off, take it off and to a brake palce and they will do it for around 100 bucks.
  17. thats a fair effort! still seems like a lot of work just for a steering rack.
  18. yep, i reckon you might get away with an rb30e but will definitely get pulled up on a turbo.
  19. this is your lucky day.. motor does drop straight in but sump does not clear mr30 crossmember enough for engineers. you can either modify the sump for clearance or, do what i did and modify the engine mounts. my motor sits about 10mm more forward than normal for the sump to clear. If you arent bothering with engineers then just drop it in. I also did experiment with vl mounts and r31 mounts. For memory one of them just dont fit nice at all but i cant remember which ones i ended up with. Might even be a mixture of the two. Next is gearbox. I went with the mx7 out of the vl turbo. its big and long but fits. Again the mount is not standard, just make one up or modify the r30 one. The rest is pretty easy. Radiator is stock too. I sent my loom and computer off to castlemain auto elecs who make up universal looms which are very easy to install. I think that covers it. Makes a big difference if you go engineers or not coz you gotta meet all the adrs. Cheers!
  20. apparently www.autocables.com.au can replace the inner wire providing the casing is not too damaged. would be the best solution i think!
