    OWNED!!!l!!

:Owned: :Owned: NSW 25 - QLD 12 :shake: :shake: :shake:
  11. I must say, I was worried in the first 10 minutes, when Minichello was so nervous he couldn't even catch the damn ball... He let it bounce twice, and the first attempt to take it on the full, he completely CHUMPED it!!!! Anyway, after that nervous start, the team pulled together... I had to laugh when before halftime, they showed a shot of Bowman, sitting on the table with his back to the camera in the changeroom, and then 15 minutes later, as the 2nd half started, they go "QLD has high hopes for Bowman to return later this game" and then cut to the changeroom again, and he hadn't moved an INCH since the last shot... HAHAHAHAHAAHA... Poor guy...
  12. Please email me at [email protected] so I can keep track of all enquiries. Cheers.
  13. Screamer pipes on internally wastegated turbos are ghey.
  14. YOU'RE FARKEN KIDDING!!!l This hits a little too close to home Poor Sam...
  15. You legend Dino
  16. Incorrect. It is recommended to be activated at above 3000rpm for the reasons I have stated before. It is also recommended to be activated at WOT so nitrous doesn't get deflected off the throttle body back through the intake manifold, through the air filter and around the engine bay. For stock engines (which is what the "guidelines" are written for), it is recommended to be activated at ONLY WOT, and above 3000rpm. For strengthened and built engines, these rules can be bent for obvious reasons.
  17. I see where you're coming from now, and I apologise for my initial outburst. You're right, in a way, if that's all that nitrous is being used for. But that's not the case. With the extreme end of nitrous use in drag racing like you're talking about, they would still employ nitrous off the line for a few seconds to help their 60 foot times. But that's seriously a very very small percentage of nitrous users. As I mentioned before, the great percentage of nitrous users in drag racing use it for the duration of their run, as it is easier on the engine than using a massive shot just to get the car off the line. In fact, many drags racers opt to use a LARGER shot of nitrous, and turn DOWN their boost, as the nitrous hits a lot harder and most importantly FASTER than boost ever will...
  18. AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha: Nice one
  19. Quiet Dundan :bahaha:
  20. Sorry, I went out before I saw this question... Hmmm that's interesting... I suppose a tiny activation (perhaps 0.4 seconds? ) *juuuust* before launch would help spool up the turbo, and I'm not too clued up about automatics (and proud of it ) so perhaps you could help answer your own question. Would the torque convertor of the slushbox absorb the extra power made momentarily by that tiny squirt of nitrous? Basically you're injecting air and fuel into your cylinders anytime you're activiating nitrous, so it's making power. That power has to go *somewhere*... In a manual, I guess it goes straight into the gearbox (or free-spinning clutch) if you're still staging... To be completely honest, I'm not too sure about people who use the nitrous prior to actually launching. Perhaps someone with practical experience with this can comment? Mick? Brett?
  21. P.S. I completely agree with it being illegal on the streets. It's use is too narrow, and can be dangerous if activated whilst turning by an inexperienced driver. I'm the first to say it has very limited uses. But that doesn't make it a bad thing, or cheating. Claiming that is seriously ridiculous.
  22. Okay... Basically, when you inject nitrous into your engine, all it's doing is forcing a HUGE amount of air (and fuel) into the cylinder. What results is an INSTANT increase in the size of the explosion... What does that do? It forces the piston downwards like buggery, and stresses the conrod like you can't imagine. If you ever go into a car with nitrous, watch the rate that revs increase once nitrous is activated... It will rev through the rest of the rev range twice as quick (not scientific, just for illustration point) as it would if you didn't activate the nitrous. So basically you're forcing the piston downwards with HUGE force, which the conrod has to withstand, since it's holding the piston up! The reason why nitrous manufacturers recommend to only activate nitrous at revs above 3000rpm. This is because there is sufficient engine speeds for the piston and conrod to increase in speed without loading them up too much (because they have sufficient momentum), like you would if you tried to force that piston down when it's rotating at slow speeds (1000rpm) When you uprate your conrods (and pistons), they're stronger and can take the abuse and forces of earlier nitrous activation.. I would say that most cars utilising nitrous oxide use it for the entire duration of the run. Only the very serious racers use a massive shot at low rpm to initially spool up their truck turbos... 99% of nitrous users don't do this because of the extreme stress that it puts on internals that I mentioned earlier, and opt for a smaller shot for the entire length of the pass.
