  4. At this stage it's a yes from me. But if anything changes i will let you know. I have had my car dynoed in two wheel drive before and i was told that a coke bottle (600ml i think) will fit in the front of the transfer case if i wanted to run it any distance with the front shaft off this would prevent any dirt and rubbish getting in. I havent as yet checked this out though.
  5. Should be slitly higher numbers as you are not loosing power running the front dif

  10. HI I have my car in getting some mods done at the moment and everything was going grate till I get a phone call saying that they think my E manage might be faulty. Now the only thing I have done is to change the battery about four months back and when I went down to check on how it was going they had a charger on it. The questions I have are. Would changing the battery or putting a battery charger on cause any problems with the ECU (E Manage in this case). Thanks Phil
  11. Hi My beef with the price changing is. They get a tanker in at the start of the week say and haven’t sold all of it by the end of the week why does the fuel price change from mid week to weekend. Isn’t that like price gouging shouldn’t the price stay the same until all of the first tanker has been sold on. Phil
  12. That weekend is good for me. Sorry I'm a bit of a Nob when it comes to surgesting places to go

    Plenum & Bov

Thanks for the info. I think I will go with Darren’s idea and put it on the driver’s side under the battery and plum it back. I will have a closer look this weekend. I was hoping to reuse the bov to keep cost down. Thanks again Phil

    Plenum & Bov

Hi all I was thinking of changing to a ford facing plenum to reduce the pluming and make the top of the engine look neater but then I wondered where I was going to put the bov. Is there a position that still makes it a plum back and how hard is this to do. Thanks Phil
  15. Just my luck Thanks anyway
  16. I have an s1 so does this mean I can get a nistune setup. Q1.What is there web site WWW. Q2.How much aprox. Thanks Phil
  17. I had my top tank replaced and the radiator cleaned at the same time costing about $170.00 from memory. Then about three mths later I went and bought an alloy cooling-pro from Just Jap $329.00. I still have the old one here if you need it
  18. I have been running 17x8 front 17x9 rear with 235/45 all round for a couple of years now with no problems as far as the attessa system goes. I have had it on Queensland raceway in this form also with no problems. When it comes time to do a rotation it’s a case of a strip and refit.
  19. I have moved my daughters twice now and you’re right it is surprising just how much you can get in when you pack it properly. The slowest trip would have been when I had a carton of eggs in the back it was a bit of a yoke actually
  20. Here's what I did over Christmas I bought a 40mm triple core radiator from Just Jap Cooling-pro Skyline ECR33 (CPRO40mmRAD-ECR33) $329.oo. They have a 60mm as well but I was advised against it as it was suited more for a dedicated track car and it would have to go in without the shroud in place. I also bought a 7inch thermo fan for the auto cooler (Thermofan-7inch) $50.oo.With freight to the door it was $429.oo. Now when I go up the range the water temp is about 30deg lower the engine oil is about 15deg lower and the auto is about 20deg cooler. Temps were done using one of those laser heat guns tested before and after the upgrade. Best money I have spent in a while. I will just have to see what winter brings and I will cross that bridge when I get there.
  21. Thanks Now I have some more info I will go and see them next week. It's a one hour drive but it will be worth it Again sorry for going off topic.
  22. I have rung Natrad here in QLD Toowoomba and they told me that they did not have a listing for the stagea. If you have part # I will give them another go. Sorry to go off topic (Trans cooler to radiator) Thanks Phil
  23. I understand the need for the heat exchanger but the coolant in the radiator won't flow until the thermostat opens regardless of the size of the radiator. Here in QLD it can get to zero in winter and rise to over forty in summer. In winter I can see the need for the heat exchanger in the radiator so the plan after new year is to go to the local wreckers and pick up an old copper radiator with the auto line in it and cut it open to see what it looks like (straight pipe or fined). If it is a straight pipe I will buy an aluminum radiator and have it modified then I should have the best of both worlds (unless someone knows where I can get one ready maid) After paying ($2,800) to have my auto overhauled I want to treat it right. Cheers Phil
