well actually im just in the middle of selling my GTR so the money im getting for it will go towards the R33 gtst and a ring for the missus... - i shouldn't be puuling a sad face should i??? haha will i need any custom piping? ie intercooler/radiator/dump pipe thanks

Hi guys, Ive been trying to do a search for some info on this but cant find any (obviously someones posted this topic before...surely) but i was just wondering...I have an rb26 laying around and WAS going to drop it into a 200sx but thought it would be easier and cheaper to just drop it into an r33 gtst (saves me from trying to source a gearbox and that) but what needs to be done? is it a big job? thanks for the help!

Ok, so Ive had the car sitting around collecting dust since August 08 (bought a new car) and have finally managed to get around to advertising it. The car recently had an R33 engine dropped into it (work done by Autotek) so there are no fears of a spinning a big end bearing as most R32 RB26's do (speaking from experience!) Car runs great and I would love to keep as a track car but the partner wont let me... Heres a little info on the car.... - Its an R32 GTR (1989 Model) - R33 RB26 Engine (engine has just over 100,000k's - timing belt changed) - About 146 XXX kms on body - Front drive shafts reconditioned approximately 20,000ks ago - Nismo engine mounts - 3.5' Kakimoto cat back exhaust - Apexi air filters - 1 year rego - 18x9.5' 3 piece Trafficstar rims - Lowered - N1 headlights -Trust Radiator Shield - Autometre boost gauge - Rear wheel drive switch There's probably more that I have left out so please feel free to call or msg me on 0402 485 832 if you have any questions. Also, if you are interested I may have some performance parts for sale as extras and also have R34 headlights and conversion guards. well, i think the GTR is gonna be up for sale soon...for one petrol is a killer! and 2 i just wanna get out of the performance scene (streetwise anyway) so its just an idea at the moment and probably wont go through with it, but the girlfriend said that i should maybe build some type of track car - at least it'll keep me (very) busy on the weekends as im a useless sh*te wen it comes to working on cars...haha... so i was thinking of MAYBE putting in a R33 engine into my R32 and sell it off as a standard GTR kos i wont get much more for it with a worked engine... ive spent all this money on the engine and neva got to see its full potential so with the track car idea i can at least drop the engine into another car and see wat it can do.... BUT there is the financial side of things....

Hi guys, I was planning on MAYBE buying an r33 rb26 engine but because its from QLD i was gonna just get him to send it down here via courier. If i do get it and it gets sent down here, how do i know that ill be loking at an r33 engine instead of an r32? are there engine numbers or something that i should be looking out for? thanks for the help!
