Just going throu the same thing myself, took it to mr mufflers the guy is heaps helpful and trying to keep the cost down, goodluck myne is costing approximate 1k ..ouch
-
Ok well just back from mechanics and he said his going to try keep it under 1k. His changing the windscreen also fixing exhaust which has cracked, also found a leak on lh shocker, pretty much the list was a page long ...also light on spoiler is out and he said there needs to bea break light at eye level, seems strange that as long as I have had it has never worked.... Looks like I'll be lucky to get out under a grand, which really sucks

Hey all I've just taken a deposit for my 1995 R33 skyline series 1.5, Its been racv inspected and got the green light, but they pointed out my muffler was cracked and my window screen needed attention because it has a scratch/marks from the wipers, anyway I'm replacing the muffler tommorow, is it possible to pass without the windscreen being replaced, I'm trying to find a lineient road worthy tester, Any recommendations? Sth east suburbs eg.Dandenong? Thanks in advance

Currently selling my car and need to provide a roadworthy will any of this get past Cracked muffler This according to racv inspection Oil wetness evident rear of engine Gearbox oil leak weapage evident Centre bearing rubber saged Windscreen glass scratched Noisy wheels possibly wheel bearing How much do u think this will cost to fix? Or would it get passed the roadworthy?
-
Can anyone recommend someone for a roadworthy then in the east suburbs obviously someone who is not going to be a dick and give me 10 things to fix, I used to goto Paul lees on boronia road with my old car and he was really easy to pass the roadworthy, Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've read online that you can get them to come out to you, Anyone had this done? Also my muffler has got a crack on it, would this stop it passing a roadworthy?

Being Told To Open The Bonnet After Being Pulled Over
i2icho replied to Astro Bear's topic in Victoria
Your lucky you didnt get a defect, i was pulled over for having simular mods and had the book thrown at me, Full Epa test, Engineers Cert for FMIC, and defected i would call you very lucky, Now my Skyline is as Leagly Stock as possible, no fun, i want my FMIC back on, but its just not worth the Hassle from the boys in Blue. -
UPDATE Last Week i bought a AFM of a SAU member hooked it all up last night and it solved all my problems, Stalling, loosing power. Just cant believe how long i left it, wish i had bought it earlier and eased all the Stress involved cheers Ben

Thanks guys, the reason i was going to try MPC was because its literaly 50 meters away from my work so its just the convince of it all really, Where abouts is Racepace??

Hey well i had a FMIC which i got defected 4, so i put the SMIC back on, after a few weeks it started playing up, i checked I/c pipping re-tightened clamps etc, checked plugs coil packs changed all filters, but the problem never went away, only after i cleaned the AFM it was all working great for about 5 days then started doing to same thing again, And yeah i Reset the ECU but no luck, So fingers crossed, it could be the AFM and or plug or Fuel pump,
