  2. If by "the guy at Campbelltown" you are referring to the Defect Notice Clearance Inspection Station, then i can shed some light for you. To me he appeared quite reasonable and approachable. I had been pulled over on Parramatta Rd and escorted to one of these make shift inspection stations in a industrial factory complex, at which point the examiner was overcome by the quantity of mods before him, Larger turbo's, pods, ebc, cams, cam gears (visible), larger FMIC, ecu, etc, so much so that he generalized the defect to read "all engine mods to comply with relevant ADR's & exhaust noise check". I took my vehicle to TIC and had it engineered, covered the pods with an aluminium housing (painted black), stuffed a restrictor in the exhaust and generally hid the things i didn't want seen. Went to the Campbelltown Guy, he took the engineers word for all on the report, no follow-up noise check, no probs with the enclosed pods, passed first go, defect cleared. BTW every time i'm RBT'd i get asked to pop the bonnet, i produce the Engineers Report, engine bay checks ok, get hassled re noise (have since fitted HKS Silent Hi Power 95db), i assure them it gets quieter with rpm, rev engine to oblige and have thus far been allowed on my way. Sorry for your pain, it annoyed the hell out of me at the time, i can only imagine what your going through.
  3. I just fitted an HKS Silent Hi Power cat back, i was dubious about the silent part as i could see straight thru it and my daughter could fit her whole arm inside it. once fitted i was impressed, it achieved all its goals. At idle it still sounds a little herby (i have cams), but on acceleration and deceleration it silences quite well, with little to no restrictions. overall - impressed.
  4. Spotted....ME.....Being defected at a joint Police/RTA entrapment party on Parramatta Rd last night.
  5. WHAT A BLAST I had a GREAT day.... Very different to a normal track day.........sooo much track time, and no pressure. Must get an in car timer,(thanks Paul for the lend) it really does improve your times when you have instant feedback on each lap. Being first up in the Corsair Challenge Car, i obviously babied it too much, turning in a 1.46, but hey, the clutch really was crap, and i didn't wish to be the one to spoil everyones fun. I'd have been drummed outta here if it crapped itself. I gave it another go later, on a semi oiled track, redeemed a little dignity with a 1.43 Much was learnt this day (must take jerry cans fulla fuel) A Special Thanks to my fellow enthusiasts who helped create a perfecty day!
  6. Certainly looks like we got a day happening on the 19th Having had Whiteline tinker with all four corners, just last Saturday, i'm itchin to see how she feels now. At this point i'd say i'll be there after about 10am, (work am's).
  7. Hell you guy's, talkin bout cheap parts. I went to nissan today and paid $83.00 for the full set, and both operators commented they were the cheapest "disc brake hardware set" they have for nissan's. Who's getting taken for a ride here, i quoted CRZY32's part no's which were correct, i pay $83 he gets quoted $72. Hmm, sure is dear to live in Sydney.
  8. Its really catching on isn't it.. Me too, beats me why they would be left out in the first place, speshly when the squeak is soo annoying. I'll be hassling one and all for a set asap!!!!!!!!!
  9. You have PM pete Funds transferred - i'm in - .
