  1. Accommodation being booked tonight, in Munich for Oktoberfest

Need to start drinking beer again (pitty i have been working so hard to get rid of this beer belly) so look out schutzenfest!

which is in 1 months today, almost time to start arranging the yearly SAU "responsible drinking" day - due to legal requirements around my liquor license i must 'preach' responsible drinking blah blah blah

  2. But if you have a pit pass you probably wont leave the start/finish area :)

Thats what I'll be working towards :whistling:

Already sorted full factory team passes for Le Mans (not sure if i can make the race :( ) and the Hockenheim FIA GT round.

Unfortunately the Automotive group that contract my company aren't in F1 :(

All that means is I have 9 months to get a contact in a F1 team

  3. Dont do Italy! Spa isnt much better for spectating.

Spa has been added to the start of my Euro Trip, working my contact for a Team pass with someone

don't think i will pull off the Italian GP as well, going to be hanging around Germany for September (Octoberfest and FIA GT at Hockenheim)

  5. New 2012 'R8 LMS GT3 Ultra'

Talk that Mark Eddy may be looking at updating his 2010 R8 to this latest spec for last year.

Was reading up on the R8 LMS and it has some very impressive stats, in the last 3 years they have won 115 races and 12 international / national races!

The Lambo 5.2L V10 has a life of 20,000km prior to rebuilds, which isn't bad for a productions based engine with 570hp

Another new GT3 car due out in the next 2 weeks, but more on that later

Done for a year! Thanks to everyone that played

will arrange a league again next year, hopefully we can get more on to it (so if you have any friends into f1 feel free to invite them along)

  7. I will ask around mate, not sure. Sled bought 2 of them off us, as Chops and Nikki obviously won't come anymore. But Sonia or Brownyn may not be keen, so you may be in wiht a chance. I will let you know.

I don't know anyone with spare tickets, I gave mine up with you after last years.

My dad has found people for his spare 2 seats

  8. I've got a good seat but can't see much racing out side of the GT's and I find the Podium is a good place to stand for those races, always good company up there, this year it was 4 grid girls and Murray Walker :whistling:

And Nightcrwaler and I were stars last year on the TV's... when filming the Model Parade we were in the front row

    and here was our view

  9. Next year should somehow put some money on the line! that'll make me not forget to me picks!

plenty of time to organize it and get more parties involved!

I would offer to donate some booze to the winner but laws ect in regards to that in case its a minor.. can't even give them a hat, oh well it can stay in my cupboard :nyaanyaa: especially this year with my 9 point lead (unless i really F* up the final round

  11. yeah, its kind of like riding a rocket, you just know ist going to go hard but will also blow up eventually!!!

But for one lap it looks good.

well there were 3 458 GT3's in the top 10 at the end of the Sap 24hr this year, not bad for a car everyone seems to think won't last the 12 hours at bathurst

  12. I had a good look over a 458 road car today. Can see where the race cars get their pace from.

Mr whiplash how much more power will the unrestricted cars have? And what is restricted on them currently?

When I mention no restrictions I mean running in actual FIA regs, at the moment all Aust GT cars are put the the dreaded 'parity' to dumb them down to make sure the gentlemen drivers are able to be competitive.

So as it ran over the weekend is how it will rock up to the 12 hour, although will more than likely be a tad slower with different compound tires and in enduro speck.
