  1. This happend to me...I have a Mongoose Immobiliser. It only happend I after I degreased the engine and hit the engine bay with a pressure washer at Car lovers. After a week it started to work again. Never had a problem since...and this was in December 06. Have u done anything like this?
  2. ok I am with you...............I think u have open the plastic falp first yeah...? So use a pool perhaps a flat screwdriver on the end of the pool taped to it? I will try this tonight....effen boot.....Must be the Valet switch. never touch anything kids unless u know what it does....except females.
  3. I CONFIRIM; The bit that was squeeking in my car was the actual metal pin that goes through the clutch bracket. I sprayed it with WD40 and it is all cool now. You have to physically lay down on the floor of the car and so u can see the whole clutch bracket. The spray the clutch metal pin..its fairly large u cant miss it. Make sure u have a torch aswell and the red straw bit to direct the spray into the gap of the pin.
  4. Thanks Guys, Manhore, Where is the switch located that you have to flick ? Do i have to climb in the boot and take any trim odff to get to this switch or can u visually see it when u take the seats out?
  5. still stuck shut.....do i have to remove the back seats or can i drill the lock out. Aim for the midddle of the lock and drill it out ?
  6. 25th December 2006 @ 14.30 Whilst cleanin the boot out i manage to play with a metal plate inside the boot lid. (not knowing it was the valet switch) 19.30 Whilst travelling down Pitt St in Sydney I managed to get a samell metal fragment in my tyre. (resulting in a flat tyre) 19.31 I realised the boot was not releasing from the boot leaver inside the cabin. No tension at all behind the leaver. Just free air when u pull it up. 19.32 I decided to try the boor lock. It didnt work. The lock is broken. It keeps on making a ticking sound but nothing happens. 19.32: 15 ...I start to swear. 19.34 I try other methods...no good. So I baby it all the way back to Liverpool. 21:00 got home in one piece. 26/12/2006 @01:46 I read this thread and I will try the boot cable under the carpet 1st. So how I go tomorrow to get to the spare. Why is that Valwt switched linked to the leaver....or is that the safety feature of it or am I totally worng and it is only coincidence???
  7. I have just notched up 138, 000km in my R33 GTST Water pump, Spark Plugs, Timing Belt, fuel filter, Radiator Flush......... have all been done at 100,000km What else should I be checking or servicing. Fuel consumption as at 12.3 litres / 100km Oil and filter dropped every 5000km Please Advise thanks.
  8. I changed the fuel filter at 100, 000km and the car has now done 137,400...is it due or do they last for 100,000km
  9. when I am driving, no barake applied...there is a light squelling sound coming from the front right rotor. It sounds like metal touchin metal very lightly and disaapepears at high speeds. then comes back at low speeds. Not sure what it is. why does it do this for at varying speeds. Its a light noise but annoying. I had my discs machined a few months ago. But same barke pads in since 75,000...and the car has done now 136,000. any ideas?
  10. Hypothesis: If there was a system on ur vehicle to cool the temperature of the fuel down prior to reeaching the injectors would it give the vehicle; i) more fuel economy? ii) more performance? iii) What are the disadvantages? iv) has anyone tried it ? I dont need a 100 ideas and ways to cool the fuel down I am after some raw facts of the concept. What do u guys think?
