  1. They are a hairdressers car. Get an A5! Much better!!!!
  2. ^ Ok, He should buy something totally awesome like this: Really kool For information on the cars refer: Prelude 3rd gen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude Integra 2nd gen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Integra
  3. Cheers. Also, i meant to say that I never have any scrubbing etc either. When you start going a bit lower, and fatter rubber then it probably would.
  4. Man... it is a 'general automotive discussion' area, but asking questions about preludes/integra's that you are considering buying... Why would you post that on SKYLINESAustralia?? I could start a thread on the fuel economy of my sister's toyota corolla, or how carbon emmissions of a VT vs a VX commodore compare, and it would also be 'general automotive discussion'.... but once again.. Why post that on SKYLINESAustralia? There are forums dedicated to hondas, and preludes (refer link's above). I am sure they would be able to provide much more info on them. Both cars sell for like $4k and were built by Honda a long time ago... what can you expect. Seriously?
  5. ^ Dunno man, I can't really see it. Both gts-t's had been resprayed grey with tint... the one on the right was bought like that... the paint had been put on quite some time ago though, if anything paint was starting to fade. You will have to put up some pics when your car is done!
  6. Pm replied to. Cheers.
  7. They are both honda's...Go away http://www.preludeaustralia.com/
  8. Well as a guide, i have tein super street coilovers (jap spec) which we set to the lowest setting and I have 18's and this is how my car sits. If you are going to adjust the suspension you should only really consider coilovers for a GTR in my opinion. GTR's are not meant to scrape the ground, but from factory sit pretty high with the AWD system etc.
  9. Blue R34, city bound, Nepean Hwy - Brighton. Seen your car around a few times. Always looks clean! I think you looked at my car going opposite direction?
  10. Photoshop... the first one is pretty pox, the second image photoshop is a bit better.
  11. R33 is not really any extra unless you were looking at maybe a series II. To find a clean R33/32 you are looking at similar money. To be honest a clean example is not easy to find and will be over $10k just for the car. When budgeting for a car though you need to factor in stamp duty, insurance, rego, servicing etc so you will need fair bit on top.
  12. Is there a way for those not in NSW to see the article?
  13. If you have only got $5k for a car then you should look for something in that price range like a corolla... or find and buy a heap of shit skyline and learn the hard way.
  14. ^^ THe one on the left was my first car. The one on the right was my mates previous car. Great cars!
  15. The R32 has a gts25 model which has an rb25de engine. That would be my pick, but there aren't that many around
  16. Welcome! Quite a few questions you have there. Here are some responses: Skylines are obviously Japanese for a start, so I would say they would be more durable than anything built in Australia. Nissan's generally are very well built... our family had a bluebird that did over 500,000km despite not being very well looked after for the second half of its life! The reason you don't see many with over 180,000km's is two fold. In Japan cars generally do not do the same mileage as in Australia, also MANY have their odometers wound back before import. I am not familiar with the gearbox's in gts-t's being a problem unless you start putting too much power through them, but that is not really a surprise. A GTR 'bodykit' would mean the owner would have to have purchased, fitted and sprayed the following: GTR front fenders (aluminum) GTR front bar GTR grill GTR bonnet (aluminum) GTR rear fenders GTR spoiler As you might appreciate these parts are not cheap, so I would not hold my breath... At any rate, please do not put a GTR badge on your gts-t unless you want instant looser status. Hope that helps, and goodluck in your search.
  17. Haha
  18. Well I know where he is coming from, as I read quite a few times on forums etc that because of the plasma lining the GTR would need to have a service at 100,000km that would involve the engine coming out to recoat the cylinders. Based on the facts in the Motor article, this appears grossly mis-informed.
  19. The year of the car is not sufficient to tell what type globe it will require. R32's have a wide variety of headlight configurations. My friend and I both had 32 gts-t's, same year of manufacture, both with projector style globes yet both had different globe requirements. If you take the globe out and go to autobarn or somewhere like that, they will be able to tell you the glode type. Also, HID's in many cases for r32's are not a straight fit... generally from what I have seen you need to modifiy the HID globe to enable it to be held in place.. hence why i did not get install the set i bought.. I probably should sell them now that i think about it. Hope this helps.
  20. Yeah when i told my cousins i had a gtr and was 23 yrs old (at the time) they were speechless! haha. I was all over; Dublin, Galway but then predominantly in the west with family.
  21. Nice! I was in Ireland for 5 weeks and saw one skyline the entire time! Knowing what insurance is like up there its not too suprising... good to see there are some there though!
  22. hrmmm, maybe if you lightly bash the fr bar into a tree to add to the 'look'. It certainly could not make it any worse!
  23. In this condition the absolute LOWEST I will take is $200. Anyone wan them at that price then let me know otherwise I will keep them. Note, please do not waste your time and mine making any offers below $200. If you want them at that price let me know and they are yours. Cheers.
