  1. Its way too high. When my mate boosts his 32 then he is on the same boost that my guage says my car is on.... so it cant be right!
  2. Well that factory gauge I dont know what it is measured it, but it only ever goes so high, even if you did boost your car it cant go higher on the factory gauge. I noticed on the way home tonight though, when factory gauge was on exactly " 0 " the one I installed was reading just over 0.1 bar or about 2 psi. So they dont seem to agree....
  3. Today I installed a DEFI BF series boost gauge and associated Link II computer in my R32 GTS-T. I got it all working but then the readings it gave seem incorrect. I put it in purely for looks. My car has never been boosted amd is 100%, stock other than: 1. X-Force 3" Turbo Back Exhaust with high flowed cat ( i got is as an all in one exhaust ) 2. Simota Pod filter Thats it. The problem is that the boost gauge said that my car is running at 0.82 Bar which is about 12psi.... Surely that reading cannot be right? Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?
  4. I wonder what car you drive (drove) This thread is a joke. It might aswell be called "what model do you drive?". 33 owners like 33's etc etc......... The R33 is by far the most common on the road so I guess we can end it there!
  5. Any BOV that vents atmo is illegal. Period
  6. Then y are u doing an engine replacement?
  7. All R32 GTS-T's are between 14 - 18 years old. If you think a car of that age has less than 100,000km (which means it has done less than aproximately 7000km - 5500km per year!!) then good luck to you. Most of the skylines brought into Australia are wound back. I would never buy an r32 that had less than 100,000km and think that the k's were genuine... So when it comes to skylines the number on the dash means little. You need to assess the condition of the car and engine and get it inspected and judge for yourself.
  8. Sedans are less popular, and 89's are the oldest of the lot. If that car is an auto it is deffinately over priced. If not considering how stock it is and its age, id be aiming to get it for $9k if its in good nick.
  9. The Hills district?? What State.... Pics..... I want to know what this one looks like inside/out. $26k I would want to have an idea of condition before going to see in the flesh
  10. Can I presume by the VIC number plates that the car is located there??????????
  11. I duno what skyline you have, but on my 32 there is one button for mirror fold in/out and a seoperate button for moving the mirror itself up down etc. To me it sounds like the motor is fine because they retract so I would check just the retraction mirror button, the contacts on the part for opening mirrors back out might be really dirty....
  12. Post it up here and some1 should be able to help you: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...3729&st=860 Nissan FAST will have the info once your VIN is entered into it..
  13. This thread is never going to reach any kind of a consensus. Too many people with too many differnt vies/biases. I like seeing most skylines on the road, the r31 is a bit pintara for me though and I don't really know which is which. The r32 - r34's are generally nice. The 33 i dont like its lines in particular the rear (and front of S1), but if nicely modded they look ok. R32 and R34 are both sweet and when modded right look very tough!
  14. Hey, Sorry to go off topic but my mate has the same Lenso Wheels (18") as you on his R32 (gts-t). For them to clear the front brakes they had to machine a small bit of the rim out of each spoke because they were scraping. How did you go fitting them to your car?
  15. Hey Joe, Sounds like a decent trade and given he is a mechanic and a family friend you know then he could help you servicing and fixing any problems etc. If you buy it make sure you change oil ever 5,000km religiously!! Personally when I was looking for my skyline I would not consider maroon cause I hate it but if you like the car and it certainly sounds immaculate then buy it. In terms of mods if you know the driver and the person that did all the mods and the person that drives the car its much better piece of mind. If you did get a stock standard one and got all those mods bit by bit it would cost you a lot!!!
  16. GOT DISH??????
  17. I like these wheels, but they 17"s...... I would only consider 18"s on my 32
  18. Well it would have to be a VERY small rock, and likely be made out of diamond to be strong enough to do any damage and be a one in a billion chance of getting in there..... I would not be worried!
  19. Spacers are illegal. I don't like that idea personally. Get soneone to hop in car and have it roll past you while you stand on the side of the road. If you hear is scraping then you have an issue. Get someone to profile the word nissan down like 0.5mm to be safe if you want.
  20. Not at all, if there is a gap theres a gap, if it does not scrape then u have no problem. The wheel stays a fixed distance so aslong as it has some clearance there is no problem...
  21. Are they off a Mitsubishi 3000GT? They look good on your 32. I would have been interested had I not just got a set of rims.
  22. Wa-wa-wee-waa.... Yours is one of very few to not have climate control. Nearly ever 32 in aus has it. Type M was a spefic to each dealer. Some gave more and the type M was a higher premium in such cases, other dealers may have given just the basics such as brakes. They all get that! So your must not have got climate control, either that or the vin has been changed on your car, but doubt it.
  23. Not all type m had the electric front spoiler. Mine and my mates didn't and both are type m (confirmed through FAST)
  24. OMG! this must be the most common post ever, there was one about it just a week ago. Please do a search..... In short though just about every r32 gts-t is a type m and get someone to run its vin through fast if you want to check a particular car. The main difference is the 4 pot front brakes. All the rest of the stuff could be optioned on any 32 gts-t....
