  1. Not done much about this. Today took the pedal switch out. Multi meter test says it works fine. The lights are still on after taking out the fuses and relays.and the switch. Is there any way of getting an English/Strine wiring diagram? Anybody out there had this trouble???
  2. I will have to wait and see how Mrs66 is coping . She will be laid up after an op.
  3. Mine is not an M35, it is a C34 S1. Had the same issues with the dash. Slipping belts is a Stagea thing. Keeping the belt tension correct is an ongoing issue.I use two Gel batteries, and one was crook. Replaced battery but did not fix dash. Had to take one out of the Dayz. Problem fixed.
  4. Make it mandatory to advise location in Avatar. (?) Too much time wasted chasing up stuff only to find out they live in WoopWoop!
  5. I think the "bodgie" wiring is to do with the Mongoose and the tailgate auto closer. I need a Stagea experienced Auto Electrician on the Gold Coast. Any ideas????
  6. I hve got to the point of pulling up the floors in the cargo area in the RS4 and the Dayz The wiring is different. In the Dayz there appears to be a bodgie wire that goes forward under the rear seat. Will have to find where it goes. Is there any way of getting an English wiring diagram?????????????
  7. I bought a very straight S1 for $2250. Had a blown motor that was replaced for $1200.
  8. They do reply and quickly. When getting a "High powered exemption" for my son, a copy of what is on the web was knocked back by DMT. I emailed Nissan and got the info back on a Nissan letterhead.. Took two days and solved the problem.
  9. I had a Forester. The WORST vehicle I ever owned.
  10. Disconnecting the wires does not stop the problem.I am ready to get RWC but must fix this first
  11. This is on the Dayz. Even after pulling the fuses and disconnecting the switch at the brake pedal Why would this happen? As far as I know the wiring has not been touched or tampered with since fitting the replacement motor I can't say for sure if the lights came on as soon as the battery went in. How or where do I start looking to fix.
  12. If I cant get a 2nd hand one what are my options??
  13. Thanks Ben. Got it out today. Fired it up but no go. Need a new/used one.
  14. A test of the fuel pump gave no flow. Taking the pump out? Which way does the large black collar undo. Left or Right.
  15. When I bought the Dayz it had a stuffed motor. Tried to start but it would not even fire. Fitted newish motor and it started first kick. Was really surprised and elated. Drove up and down street while checking things out. Parked for a couple of weeks now does not start. Not a peep. Has a mongoose fitted. Came with the vehicle. It must be working OK caus when the remote is pressed to deactivate the lights flash and you can hear the solenoid click and the starter cranks OK. Spark seems very weak. Battery is OK. 600 cca and is fully charged All accessories work OK except brake lights.. prob is that all the brake lights come on when the engine is running or key in accessories mode. or even when everything is off and only the battery is connected and no key in the ignition
  16. I would be looking at tailshaft and centre bearing also disc rotors nd CV joints.
  17. I have made a small heat shield to fit over the back end of the exhaust manifold, to protect the O2 sensor wiring and the rubber hose plumbing. Used 2mm Al sheet with spacers in between
  18. I actually have G spec and its tint is darker than my RS4. Not even sure if its legal. It was originally a private import.
  19. I needed some info for an R32GTS-T and emailed Nissan in Japan. I got the info back next day
