  1. hey, i bought a Apexi boost guage on ebay and its just been delivered. the auction clearly states that its a mechanical type guage, but the back of the box has a pic of the control box/electric type setup. i found a pic online with is attached. can someone confirm that mechanical type guages have this on the box. i dont want to open it incase i cant return it.
  2. hi guys, i bought a magazine while in japan last that caught my eye. has quite a comprehensive section on the calsonic R32 GTR, but unfortunately i cant read japanese :S anyways you guys might like the pics. but if there is anyone who can read the japanese, i'd be really grateful if you could translate it for me cheers Page01.pdf Page02.pdf Page03.pdf Page04.pdf Page05.pdf Page06.pdf Page07.pdf Page08.pdf Page09.pdf Page10.pdf
  3. hi all, i have a BNR32 R32 GTR gearbox (LATE MODEL PULL TYPE), in poor internal condition. it was driven with low oil for approx 250kms and has developed a whine. still very much driveable. would be suited to a complete rebuild, or just something to keep you moving until you get your tax refund $100 ono, pickup only at this stage from Brisbane northside please call Trent on 0414863386 (preferably outside business hours) as i am not on here very often
  4. surely someone has an exhaust laying around, which they can measure long the cat is, would only take a minute.....
  5. cam gears are much the same, if you have a clear belt cover maybe get ones that look good? i have sard 700's on mine but i wanna go to 330-350rwkw, so maybe 550cc/min if you get z32 afms(80mm), you have to replace your apexi suction kit and the connector plugs i went with rb20/25 afms(80mm), as they work with PFC, use the same plugs as rb26, and i just bought the apexi 80mm suction kit, although the rb20/25 afms dont have the high end resolution the z32's have
  6. hey, i bought a cat converter on ebay, and its a different length (292mm) to the one on the car already (404mm). the flanges are also twisted more (about twice as much) than the one on the car. the box it came in states it is for r32, r33, s13 and GTiR. i just want to know which is the proper one before i start modifying my exhaust to fit, or chase a refund
  7. that JWL is the symbol to signify it conforms to the relavant standards (Japan Light alloy Wheel) or something or other as far as ttracking down a matching pair, i've been trying to find a match for my 16x8 linear sports for a while now with no luck. hopefully someone recognises them for you! good luck
  8. no worries i think skinny tires on the front would make the car more suseptable to understeer, by making it harder to oversteer??? but thats just an assumption a $10 spray can is all it will cost to paint them
  9. are there any markings/stickers on them from when they were cast/produced?
  10. has anyone got an idea why rota is putting two valve stems on some of their wheels now? the only reason i can think of is if your trying to stretch the tyres, it may help getting air in there to pop it onto the bead?? i just think its a stupid idea
  11. well i'm going to powercruise next weekend, so i'll check it out on their dyno (but is usually really hot there) i'm looking at a open exhaust for the event and i'll try to turn up the boost a little. hopefully that should give me an idea.
  12. he mentioned that this power figure was exactly what he was expecting. was tuned at brisbane tuning and turbo, and he said after the first hundred GTR's he's tuned, it took the guess work out of the cam gears. the exhaust is quiet, so that could be an insight. reading thru the RB26 guide, there are a few cars around this power level with the same turbo's, boost, etc, but this level just doesn't sit well with me cheers! anyone else have any ideas?
  13. i just had my car tuned today and i was a little disappointed with its power figure it has: Unopened RB26 Power FC RB20 AFM x2 Garrett 2860-5 x2 100mm front mount adj cam sprockets (both) bosch 044 sard 700cc inj nismo fpr CES dump pipes + 3' exhaust Greddy Profec b spec 2 and it made 375rwhp at 16psi (about 280rwkw) the tuner said the profec control unit shat itself, hence the single boost level, even tho it is brand new? WTF? shouldn't these turbos put me around 325-375rwkw (433-500rwhp)??? i'm suspecting that the weakest link is the Afm's, but they should be able to handle more power than that because i suspect that higher boost alone won't get me to my target power. can someone offer some opinions on the matter? other wise the only
