Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction, im part of a car club and im looking into what is needed to be able to be authorized to issue club reg, cant find any info on the vicroads web site, it is a bit of a prick of a site tho so i may have missed it.

Price wise, i would prefer to swap for a car that is 25+ years old (30+ would be better) the only criteria i have for the car is that it be clean running and rwc condition, no reg or rwc required, auto and aircon, im pretty open to make and model (aus, euro, jap, yank) but if its a falcon it must be xe or older and not really interested in commodores but if its a really nice v8 vb/c/h i may be persuaded, basically let me know what you have, worst that can happen is i say no. Thanks for the info, but this thread is now over 5yrs old and my skyline is long gone, soon after this thread i ended up with 3 snapped studs on one wheel so bit the bullet and bought new wheels.

Quite the opposite, I have no interest in skylines any more so never come here but now that there are bikes involved I am interested lol

Mine was when it left the factory, i bought it cheap after it had been dropped, painted it yamaha blue and put everything new on it, then found out i hate the seating position (bought it as a first bike) and bought an fz6r, did 300k's on it now it sits in the shed lol, thinking of turning into a fighter.

Correction, its actually 7 years old, i dug it up when it was 5 years old as i had trouble finding someone, now others are digging it again and reminding of the nightmare my 33 ended up being lol He does great work tho.

Its also getting harder to keep a modified import on the road with all the bullshit revenue raising, unless your willing to put up with all the defects and bullshit. The only regret i have is the price i sold mine for, could have gotten a decent amount more (it sold in 24 hours to the first person who looked at it) but i was over it, was just a big headache for the last couple of years. I would much prefer to see a bayside blue 34gtr getting around (although im sure you wont be buying a house in this neighborhood) than a 2 door commodore

That is an old school rule (if it ever was a rule or just how they did it back then), can get a major for 1 item now, but i got a defect with 3 items and he only gave me a minor, depends on the cop i guess.

Depends how you want to go about the heater core, they sell second hand on here for $20-50 plus your time to fit ( http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/280174-removal-replacement-of-heater-core-skyline-the-right-way-without-removing-the-dash-at-all ) or new off ebay for $220 and add more for some one to fit it. I dont have any close up pics of the chips as its best for you to come and have a look and judge in person, there is an engine pic up and drivers side interior, i have someone coming to look at it today, if it is still here in a couple of days i will get more interior and chip/scratch pics.

Lol that's funny, how long do you think that situation would last before some idiot screwed it up for every one? Playing with cars has never been cheap, if you don't want or don't have the money to spend to do things right then I suggest you find a new hobby

the guy who bought my old purple rx7 put the plates YBSLO4 on it, that thing was never fast but it was fun.

Catch cans must be recirculating, properly made catch cans, or oil/air separators (which is what they are there for) will do the job fine when plumbed back.

What you also agreed to is that you not appear in court again, in translation this could be taken to mean that you will not contest another fine (even tho your innocent) for 12 months..........

A rule of thumb is to check every thing you read on forums, a lot of it will be right but if it is wrong it's your arse in the line, I have seen lots of wrong advice handed out as a fact, really makes me wanna kick those people in the nuts!

You are missing the fact that in victoria you are guilty untill you prove you are innocent, might sound a little sceptical but when you look at things like an epa notice for noise and emissions, they make you prove your innocence, if you dont prove it your automatically guilty (if you dont get it tested and cleared you get fined), the cops do what ever they like and its up to you to prove they are wrong.
