Did a timing belt and water pump change today and found that who ever did it last has stripped one of the bolt holes use the remove it, not to mention that all the rubber was cracked, next time it comes off it is going to have to be butchered was wondering who makes/sells them and what types are available?

I agree that it depends on mods, i have a hi flow (hi flow front vg30 rear) blitz fmic, jjr split one piece dump with a 3" the rest of the way, apart from the cat, that was still the factory 2.5", put the x-force ceramic cat in today, got rid of a mis i had (although i also did the cam belt no idea if that would have helped) power is now more crisp, boosts a little earlier and harder and is also a little quieter when idling, i would say they are a good thing, that being said my next engine im hunting for 300-350rwkw and will probably upgrade or remove the cat completely.

I have notced my gauge seems to drop really low at times, i have put it down to the sensor or gauge not reading right, but if i was you i would take it back to who ever built the engine just to be sure, if they didnt use new sensors and oil pump on the rebuild then they deserve to have to pay for it now.

I used rad flush last weekend, monday morning woke to a puddle of coolant under the car, dont know if it f**ked my water pump or the water pump was about to let get anyway but it did, just spent all day today doing cam belt and water pump.

I have just installed an epson ej1 and nizmo dash with lcd screen, all went well apart from the speedo now says i am doing a little over half the speed im actually doing, i removed my avcr display when i put the dash in which i know was only 2k's out, so i plugged it back in to check the speed and now my avcr is doing the exact same thing. The only thing i can think that i did wrong was when i wired it up one of the wires, it was not the actual wire off the ecu, there was a wire coming off the ecu wiring going to the avcr so it was easier to just use the avcr wire to tap into, im not even sure if it was actually the speedo wire that i did it with, any idea if this could be the problem, or any other ideas what it could be?

Remote is all sorted now with much thanks to /2on, just wondering, for ppl who have installed this and got it working, do you have to mount to eji unit flat and level, im assuming so as it has a g-meter in it and i doubt it will work if i mount it vertical, unless i roll which i dont plan on doing.

I would also suggest your first stop over be somewhere along the 90 mile beach outside gippsland, if you drive straight onto the kinglake section you wont enjoy it as much after near on 10hrs driving.

do you have lock nuts? ive got a set on my car, have been thinking of putting a second set on for a while (2 per wheel) that way i would still have 2 nuts opposite side to each other if someone tried this.
