  1. Where do you live, i have one here on my old turbo that im not going to use, im in frankston if you want it.
  2. Will there be any loss of power using the standard comp cover since the intake is smaller than 3" and the outlet is smaller than 2", also is it possible to have an elbow welded onto the outlet of the bigger comp cover so it meets up with the standard piping. Looking forward to the results, especially what rpm max boost is reached by.
  3. Thats actually a timing belt cover not a cam cover, cam covers are on top of the engine.
  4. do you know anyone who can sew? get them to make some throw over ones, i think if i had a sewing machine i could make them there that simple.
  5. Your best bet is to use google and find a manual for your boost controller which should explain what everything does, if you cant find one (or there all in jap) search this and other forums, will be a tutorial some where explaining what everything does. If you have a pod that is not shielded from the under bonnet heat then you will just be sucking in the hot air from under the bonnet, airbox's have been proven over and over again to be able to flow enough for 250rwkw (some claim even more) with a good panel filter, if your in vic you will get defected for having a pod and a front mount so your best off going back to an airbox. Also in vic that hard pipe its self is another defect, you can only have 1 intake mod, if you have a pod, intake pipe and front mount intercooler then you have 2 defects there already, there is a thread in the tutorial section showing you how to make it so the rubber intake pipe does not suck closed.
  6. anyone know where its going to?

Because you have a 34 GTR, they were hoping some of it would rub off onto the 33.

  13. http://www.jpnz.co.nz/afawcs0131171/CATID=...uctdetails.html Thats the one, says they need 150 and they have 164, make sure you do a request and with any luck they will do it soon.
  14. There isnt one in english, have looked high and low, there is a company in NZ that translated the engine one but they only do then if there is enough interest, go there and lodge you interest, from memory we need about 100 people who are willing to buy them before they will translate and print them.
  15. Firstly you said you dont know if your bov is plumb back or not, does it go pssssh when you back off? if it DOES NOT then its plumb back, contrary to the advice above if aint broke, dont fix, also you need to get an airbox in there, if a cop drives past and see's the fmic and then hears the induction noise there's a good chance your screwed, you said that you cant do it because of the fmic piping, thats another problem, if the piping goes along the top of the radiator then most likely someone has cut a hole in your inner gaurd for the piping, if a knowledgeable cop spots that you will need to get an engineers certificate for it. All of these little things are a give away to a cop and may get you pulled over, the biggest fear with you getting pulled over is that if this car comes up as a non turbo and you have a turbo then your screwed, it will have to be returned to being non turbo or do all the engineering and epa work to make it legal as a turbo, if you bought this from a car yard in the last 5 days (may be longer im not sure) you are still in the cooling off period and can take it back for a refund. If you wish to meet some of the people from here and have them look at your car and possibly tell you a few things about it there is an SEI cruise posted in the cruise section for this sunday.
  16. fully electric cars are the way of the future for general commuting with the hybrid being good for long distances, when they can make a car that can be run solely on electric and recharged from home but still have a diesel engine for long range then they will have made the perfect hybrid.
  17. Gotta put an engine on an engine stand to rebuild it, none of the bolts i have use the same thread as the back of the engine, any one know what threads they are? And no i dont have the bell housing bolts, bought the engines to rebuild still have the 75% dead one in the car and since its my daily i wont be pulling it out till the new engine is ready to go in.
  18. Thats cool, was worth a try, if your interested in the future let me know.
  19. Im in vic.
  20. I have seen many posts bagging x-force cats, most of which seemed to be people who have never used one but instead paid 2-3 times for a catco so assume anything under what they have is shit.

When you say "around here" do you mean ballarat? I think i have seen the same one parked in dandenong a few months back. Or maybe it was that one.
