  1. We thought that too but have swapped it with another igniter module from a friends car that works but problem is still the same. Any more tips??
  2. Hi all, my friend just bought a R32 Skyline with the RB20DET engine 99xxxkms. Light modification of only air filter and a cat back exhaust. Now here is the problem, occasionally at idle and while driving the car will miss, sounding like a WRX. We have changed the spark plugs and cleaned the plug boots but it still misses. Changed the fuel filter, still misses. Unplugged each injector at a time, no difference. Unplugged each coil pack at a time and found the last coil pack wasn't working so we got another coil pack and put it in thinking it would fix the problem. No good car still misses, to be sure we swapped coil packs around with ones we knew where fine to be sure it was a coil pack, still the same. Checked ignition timing, all good. So we are running out of ideas as to what to check next. It only seems to miss when it gets hot not while it's cold but the funny thing is that when it's missing and you give it a bit it will drive fine and then sometimes it bog down. We checked the fuel pump the easy way by clamping of the return line and the revs picked up so the fuel pump is fine. We will do a fuel pressure test later but i need the specs. If anyone has them then please let me know. We have even cleaned the airflow meter and still no good. So can anyone gives us any other things to check? How do we do a ECU fault code check? Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's driving us mad.

  4. Hi there, i'm after a harmonic balancer, radiator and a sump to suit the RB20DET. Let me kow if you have any of these parts and how much you want for them and if your willing to ship interstate at all. cheers
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. Chef32 you have pm. If i was to get a new water pump where would you get it from. I went to Repco but they only listed the water pump to suit a RB20DE. Any pointers would be great. cheers
  6. Hi all, just after a front crank pulley/harmonic balancer and water pump to suit a RB20DET. Also a radiator to suit aswell. Let me know what you got. cheers
  7. Hi guys, my water pump just busted the housing and i was wandering if the water pump from a RB25DET, RB26DETT or RB30DET will fit my R32 with RB20DET? I'm asking cause when i went down to Repco they only had a listing for the RB20DE, RB25DET and RB26DETT. If anyone has had previous experience with retro fitting either of these pumps then let me know, just want to be sure they are compatible. cheers

  11. Hi Peeps, my friend just picked up a HKS 2510 turbo in pretty good nick for not alot of dollars. Anyway, before we go ahead and bolt it in i just wanna ask if anyone has fitted one before and is it really a straight bolt on, meaning i don't have to modify any of the water and oil lines. Would appreciate it heaps if anyone that has done one could let me know as my friend needs to keep his car on the road, don't really want to find out half way that the lines don't match up. Have also tried the search function but nothing relevant comes up. cheers in advance
  12. Ok, why i say there is back fire on gearchanges is because that's what basically happened on my friends car. Even though it was an auto, everytime a gearchange came around it backfired, also backfired when you came off the throttle too. When i mean sealed by a tab, it's just a mines sticker on the casing so you know that it hasn't been opened by anyone else but Mines yet. Why i say it can't be retuned is because if you have ever opened a Mines CPU before, you will find that there is a Epoxy resin/glue that seals off the entire area where the new chip has been installed. You can remove this resin/glue to aces the chip but it is hard and in the end you may break something. I have a number on the Mines Guarantee Plaque that reads #12064. other numbers that are on the CPU are as follows. On a sticker with the nissa logo, G9 with a barcode. Under the barcode there are numbers 23710 13V10. Under that there is the following numbers. MEC-R730 space B1 space 7227. Underneath there is another sticker with GT2540. That's all that i can basically see. Let me know if you need anymore info and i'll see what i can find out for ya. cheers
  13. I don't have the reciept as my friend got it from HK while he was living there. Can supply pictures and no, it can't be retuned. Anyone that has dealt with Mines will know that the ECU is fully sealed with a tab to let people know if it has been tampered with.
  14. I have a custom tuned Mines CPU to suit a R33GTS-t 97 onwards for sale. This ECU was used by my friend that had the following mods. Apexi Turbo(350PS), ARC FMIC,HKS 1.8mm metal head gasket, HKS cams(265in/265out), SS exhaust manifold and full exhaust from turbo back and running 1.5bar boost. Made 350ps at the rear treads with the auto slipping. When i mean customed tuned, it's not the run of the mill Mines tuned cpu, this was specially ordered to suit theses mods. my friends boss is able to speak Japanese and rang Mines to tell them to tune the cpu for those mods. Car was an auto too. Removes speed/boost/fuel cut and the minimum boost you can run on this cpu is 1 bar or the settings in the cpu won't work as well. The fuel maps are pretty rich so expect to get heaps of backfire on gearchanges. $500 ono.
