Boys i do understand that the 5850 and the GTX 460 are better cards but lets keep in mind the $900 budget r31 - I have no idea what you're talking about in terms of screen and resolution - Ill be playing games like starcraft 2 please please please remember im not looking for a computer which will eventually turn into Skynet and enslave mankind here and im not being a smartass here but i have nfi what you're talking about when you say resolution rah rah rah... all i know is i have a 22inch monitor and want to play starcraft 2 lol Why does everyone go for a i5? i mean the AMD process i looked up is a quadcore and runs at 3.2 whereas the i5 is a dual core and runs at 3.2 but costs $100 more? Would the above system cut the mustard or can anyone suggest better replacement parts at the same cost?

So i've finally received my tax return and decided its time to move on from my awesome Pentium 4 2.6g with a 20 gig hard-drive and onto something more modern. I've done a bit of of research - all of 2 hours last night and have come up with the following list of parts. Keep in mind im on a strict $900 Budget. The PC is predominantly used for Gaming. if ur plannin to have track days etc and they're both turbo i would take the awd any day of the week. the power difference would be negligible and awd would be a bonus on both take off and around corners.

i remember seeing a sign for cheap resprays at XXX bodykits which is in dandy/keysy.... give em a call.

what about the thermogenic (dunno if thats how u spell it) fat burners you find on like mrsupplement.com or supplementden do they work? anyone have any experience with this?

im a big v8 fanboy so im going to go ahead and say that if you're talking about an 8 such as an ls2 out of a vz clubby or ve you will get pwned. these things pull like all hell and the ls2's are known to have a much better torque curve compared to ls1's out of lets say a VX (stock offcourse). Yes the skyline will have the power coming on up the top (boost) but the newer 8's pull right from the bottom to past 6k and lets not forget its a 6speed too... i would have thought however that the whole catching up thing would be reversed... ie you charge off the line only to be past by the time you get to 2nd.

hey everyone, Ok i havent really been into the PC thing for awhile but i played Command and Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3 yesterday and loved it. So, i now want to build a gaming PC which will be plenty quick and will be good for the next few years. Budget would be around a k. So any suggestions on parts etc would be heaps appreciated. Daniel.
