  1. I had a 040 in mine was a pain in the ass to install and was bloody noisy to. Walbros probably the best option price wise just make sure you dont get one of those cheep chinese coppies. cheers
  2. Just read the new wheels or motor mag HSV is releasing a GTSR, 7.0 litres, and 365kw. So ford falls behind once again cheers
  3. Hi-Flo, GTRS but my choise would be the apexi AX53B70 very responsive and good for around 240rwkw with supporting mods, mint on these forums is fiting one soon I beleive cheers
  4. Well it was certainly interesting (and lucky) to see that the turbo didnt blow. I wonder what the turbo would boosted to. cheers
  5. I have one of these on my R33 it seems to run 9psi to 5000rpm then 11psi till redline used to do the same thing on the R32 it came off. Any ideas why and yes the 2 stage boost soliniod has been disconnected cheers
  6. On second thoughts your right, the stock R33's with no kit look funny with any bigger than 18's though cheers
  7. Only been to the drags once got all the supporting mods but have a Safc no power fc. Managed a 13.6 @ 105 with a 2.3 sec 60 foot time, on a 30 degree day. The run I had was against a stript out BMW M3 with track racing tyres and few other mods. He ran a 12.9 @ 105 with a 1.8 sec 60 ft time. As you can see from the time slip there was nothing in it other than the launch I actually felt I was slowly reeling him in 3rd and 4th gear. From this experience I think you would need some really good street tires with 60ft time bellow 2.0 to break into the 12's. So it is very possible That was about the best I could do with 17/45/235 hankook silica tires. cheers
  8. Those ones look great and would suit the car really well I recon in 18's any bigger than thats to big IMOH.
  9. With the silvia diff im unsure but with the skylines 4.11 its 1st 60 2nd 100 3rd 150 4th 200 5th dont know cheers
  10. Have a look in the group buy mate you can get one for $90 delivered. This is what I did when I got my belt changed, only gained 5kw but for $90 thats not to bad. You only need one for the exhaust side as the intake uses NVCS. Have a look at the link below for more info on NVCS. cheers http://nissanskyline.6te.net/NVCS.htm
  11. Yes, and my apology's as I am not sure of the existance of a power FC for a VQ ill have to edit that page. cheers
  12. 1) Bosch 040 - internal 2) 33 GTST, mild mods, std turbo, approx 200kw 3) - Ease of installation: pain in the ass to get the fuel new pump back into tank. - Noise level in cabin: no extra noise - Starting issues: need to prime sometimes but no dramas. - 1/4 tank syndrome: none. Because I modified the bracket so that the intake sits in the same place as where the stock sock did. cheers
  13. It responds well to turboing but there is not alot you can do to get more out of it if you keep it in NA form. Overall it has plenty of potential but mods are very expensive. http://nissanskyline.6te.net/tuning_350GT.htm cheers
  14. nothing wrong with them mate they are great. cheers
  15. Boo hoo he didnt mean too do it and he served his penelty. Lowensy should have stayed at holden were he was WINNING championships. Go holden
  16. Midnight purple would look good silver is just the same. Dont add glitter it looks so tacky.
  17. Yes many have done 12's with the stock turbo, have a look at the stage 1 tuning guide on my webpage that will give you enough power. Then you just need a some good tyres and some good driving. Best ive managed was at Heathcoute on a 32 degree day, with a grinding 4th gear sincro, and it was only my second time drag racing. 195rwkw @ 10 psi 13.6 @ 105mph 2.2 second 60 ft Was using 235/45/17 hankook K104's with Sydneykids groupbuy suspension. Im confident that the car easily has the power to do a 12 I just need a better setup maybe a cooler day. MT ET radials 255/50/16, install stock springs but retain bilstein shocks. cheers
  18. Actually has a usable powerband two more to a 9 second quarter than just power though.
  19. You can only really guess this sort of thing but 60kw is usually accepted for drive train losses and id supect more than this for this car. With the high RPM's and high power output a lot more heat is generated and trasfered. So my gestermation is say a consertitive 80kw loss instead of 60kw. 614 + 80 = 694kw = 930hp So taking guesstimation into account 900 to 1000hp. cheers
  20. Why do you want that much power? Whats the purpose of the car? Bragging dyno rights? or a drivable street car? For that sort of power id go for a RB30DET or a RB26DETT. Or better still a combination of both http://nissanskyline.6te.net/rb30det.htm
  21. You will have a loss of downlow touque too mate as the highflow will be lagier. Touque is the what you acually feel when it come to accelleration. May not feel much quicker but I bet the speedo wips arround a whole lot faster
