  1. My coldbox I made the cold box out of carbon sheet with gold reflective finish engine side . It is fed through the vent in the nismo front through fibreglass ducting. It was pretty simple to make but took quite a while to get the top contours of the box exactly right so it seals to the bonnett "carpet" as the bonnett closes using stagea door seals. I have not noticed any sudden power increase but the area is definately cooler than the engine bay so it must be doing something worthwhile.
  2. It is running twin 2860-5s probably the favorite set up in the uk for an rb26 its set at 1.3 bar on low and 1.56 on high with 99 fuel which is about the norm over here ; there is quite a few running a higher boost than me.
  3. Of course it depends on what your low boost is Mine is 19 psi
  4. Another profec B vote It may not be the easiest to set up but if done properly you only have to do it once. IMHO you dont need 4 or 5 boost control settings on a road car - for me 2 is enough Mine has coped with 1.5 bar for over 2 years without any issues ( OK i dont drive it every day) Apart from the fact that a profec b is a good unit may I syuggest a couple of other reasons for using one You can get a remote wireless switch to swop the boost settings. Fits on the steering wheel so you dont have to drive on high boost all the time just in case you want to use it . Get the urge press the button its on high boost instantly - My favourite gadget by far Oh and it happens to fits exactly in the switches hole to the left of the steering wheel
  5. Not sure what you mean ? It is factory just trimmed to match the rest of the retrimmed interior - one bright silver bit looked shocking with everything else black .
  6. 10 out of 10 for observation It is actually a profec b boost controller which fits exactly into the hole for the switches. I moved them to the other side as there is an extra space for switches. It is nice and out the way there and I dont need access to it to swop boost as the profec b has the option of a remote switch that can be fitted to the steering wheel (yellow button) I can change from hi to low boost without taking hands off the steering wheel . Best gadget on the car by far imho The guages are electronic apexi ll with white dials . Oil temp & pressure, water temp . fuel pressure , EGT and boost . The guages have an adjustable warning feature which flashes and beep and a peak hold option. You can also set them for 30 second playback . Tried it once after a run up santapod strip - it looks really weird no engine and all the guages jumping around .
  7. So.......... Is there any reasom why I cant just fit GTR hubs and use the rs four s fork nismo s tune suspension ?
  8. Just made up a cool air box as the rb26 runs a bit hot and under the bonnett is pretty high temperatures It is fed through the vent on the nismo front - I made a sealed ducting in glass fibre and enlarged the size of the hole up to the filter area. Fabricated a barrier out of carbon sheet so that the pipes and filters go through and are sealed with heat reflective gold on the engine side I have never liked the sealed top so spent a fair amount of time cutting the top to the profile of the bonnett and then used a door seal which slips nicely over the cardon and seals to the bonnett "carpet" BTW the washer bottle was replaced by a tank that also is an alloy catchtank. That is now where the battery was which has relocated to inside the rear wing - fits a treat
  9. If there is an easier way please explain . Dont worry about the parts Ive already got. I also want to keep the wheels as have just had them redone with new toyos. Plus i think they suit the car
  10. I Need help : I have looked through the topics and cant find an answer specific to my needs and the info simply isnt available in the UK. I have a series one with a rb26 conversion through a late 33GTR box with dual syncros. It is running just over 500bhp at the hubs. Pretty much everything has been uprated to past gtr spec except the rear suspension which is still standard apart from bilsteins so I want to uprate the back end in one go . I also have an RS Four S with stagea specific Nismo S tune supension .This is way better than my current Bilstein set up even though it is only 1500 miles old . Problem is that these have a fork fitting on the rears like all Ss and Rs 260s . I have previously tried swopping the diffs and hubs when attempting to use an RS four S LSD but they dont swop over so easily. So rather than mess about the plan is to rebuild a back end using an RS four S subframe (already sourced)with the Nismo suspension (because I already have it) to the series one and use a HICAS locking bar I already have a set of autech suspension top go back on the S While I am building the new back end I can fit adjustable arms and poly bushes and change the lot in one go. I can then use my current diff which has had a GTR LSD fitted and keep the original Stagea ratios. I dont want to do a complete GTR swop if it means having to change the front diff. Unless of course any one has a better solution ?
  11. Yes they have definately been discontinued They were available for a while under a different part number but sadly both are now finished. I have an account with bilstein and bought the last three sets for stageas in the uk. I have also been told there are no plans to reintroduce them at a later date.
  12. Some pics A few more close up
  13. Sorry Ive no idea of the part number - I dont think it is on the black plastic "holder bag" but will have a closer look This is currenty sealed in a clear old celluphane bag with what looks like 20 year old tape so I am leaving it as it is . AFAIK the stnadard 32 toolkit really is nothing special - screwdriver, pliers plug box spanner plug and rod. I think the jack and wheel nut brace are seperate from the toolkit.
