  1. He still gotta show us that he can do a 9 second pass, as the plate states what the car is capable of. By the way, this was done with nitrous yeh? and with 124RON fuel? But anyways, congrats on the effort. Gotta love that GTR.
  2. My bro is also in this sort of thing, being only in his P's, he considered a Pulsar Gti-R, but Power-to-weight ratio is to low. His still looking, might suggest a supra SZ. For FF, i'd go for integra or civic or maybe FTO, what bout MX-5, thier alright cause RWD thing. Consider other cars, dont always rely on skylines or silvias being the only answer, opt for other imports.
  3. I heard from another forum that the battle will take part on 17th Feb 2007? Can anyone confirm this, i'd like to see this if its held in melbourne, but tips are that its gonna be held in WSID or in New Zealand.

    Widebody

Heres one famous widebody skyline everyone knows off...
  5. Another thing i heard was that replacing the clutch was a bummer, having to take the whole engine out, right as its more based on Fwd engine layout ,is it true, and if so than might as well spend a decent amount cash, as the clutch has to last atleast 2yrs of punishment. I also ask you, aboout how you would approach this situation on blown gear boxes, should he just upgrade gears once power levels are up around 180kwaw or wait till about 220kw mark, than rahter to find out the hard way. Thanks guys for your replies
  6. Ok, his the thing, my brother will soon be getting a 20 grand loan, and was looking a sporty hatch backs. namely the pulsar gti-r. Are they any good in terms of performance as well as a every day car? Are performance mods are easy to find such as Fmic and aftermarket ecu's + pricing? what about the fuel consumption? and lastly what do you guys think? should he just abondon the idea and go for the other hatchs.
  7. Two question though, why are evo 3 aint possible to register here (Race import only) but in New zealand they can? and lastly, so if a toyota levin cost 10,000, on top of that there would be garage fees, compliance, rego and others, which would equal extra 5000 - 6000 correct?.
  8. As it states, i need pictures of skylines, not just any, but from 1969 - 1973, KPGC10 & KPGC110, if thats possible. Also R32 and R33. Its for school project, doin it on skyline history. Feel free to post your car, but i much prefer if pictures were 800*600 or 1024*768, and lastly pictures of stock engine and modified, to compare. (so hard to find decent clean pictures, so i turn to SkylinesAustralia)
  9. Never seen the movie, but heard of it ,and its in jap. http://www.drift-movie.com/
  10. So, what is this skyline? is a Nismo version of the GTS? also what other cars did nismo create but isnt very well known? any info on the nismo spec 180SX?
  11. When i statrted reading HPI, it was best ever mag, but now, it seems i stop half way, and than finish reading it year later on. I wonder what ever happened to the Old school 240Z, that he had, but seriously they should start up a new project, maybe a RVR, or maybe a non-turbo supra. This issue, HPI70 seemed bit to sluggish, but diffentily loved the part about old school nissan race cars, but it seems their just putting in same old cars, over and over with simliar mods, getting tired of seeing a GTR on the front cover, how bout a cappuccino or modded Stagea? (Love the road trip when they went, that makes me wanna go to japan) one more thing, i think HPI is starting to run out of ideas.
  12. in issue of hpi, 69 they fitted wider guards and new Bee-R rims, measuring 17by8 at theFront and 17by9 at the rear, and lasty, they pulled out the gear box, for an inspection, and guessing the aristo finally arrived, thats proberly why Ben is selling the car. They 1/4 they stated was a 12.4 with RB20, but never got around to the RB24. I must say, reading nearly all the articles on Project RB24 was queit intersting, hopefully the person who buys the car treats it right. And lastly, i wondered if they ever got to putting in the new gear box, and running it. GREAT PROJECT!!!!! BY HPI TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. No you cant simply fit a GTR bar, as the GTS front bar is more narrower, the quater panels are different for GTS, they aint pumped out, and i think they have different brackets for the front bumper, correct me if im wrong. If you wanna a GTR look, your better off buying those repilca front bumpers. Or face going through the hassle of getting that right look.
  14. Too bad history doest repeat it self in the automotive industry. At least our generation can live to tell the tales of the best of the skyline series. Anyways if nissan really plans on making a gts, i'd doubt they call it a GTS, more like a plain skyline, as it has nothing to do with the GTR, nothing in common. If we prey enough nissan might through in a turbo, but best, a In-line 6, the true JDM style, as the V6 are already pretty much more powerful than RB25 series. VQ30. Long live the In-line 6!!!!!!!
  15. You can proberly still repair that car, as it doesnt look like a write off so soon. If so, the engine alone would proberly be worth more, as it appears to be intact. And if modded a WRX compare to Skyline, the WRX would mostly diffently win, as for 4-wheels. But in terms of GT-R vs WRX STI, its pretty obvious who'd win. Not though i have anything wrong with WRX, thier nice car, exccept for interior, very bad for sports car.
