  3. I have got Nexens? think that is it! Paid $135 (235/17/45) for the fronts and $190 (255/17/40) for the rears. Hadnt heard alot about them but for the money cant complain! Fairly hard compound (only about 20% wear in 2-3 months - I drive 700kms a week!) and fairly decent wet weather pattern. Nankangs are crap if you ask me - they are the only company that make the size (19/215/35) that is on my wrx and I am forever replacing them as they are soooo soft! One set only lasts 2-3 months. Best tyres I ever had were Intercontinentals - lasted well over 12 months and the only tyre that I didn't aquaplane with - but bloody expensive! around $400 ea for 235/17/45 but that was over 2 years ago - may be cheaper now?
  4. Had the same prob in my silvia - it was a blocked gearbox breather hose. I tended to notice on the freeway the smoke coming into the cabin. Pretty sure skylines have the same setup although I havn't looked underneath mine yet!
  5. Headgasket?
  6. Oops Logging onto the bank now - can I order a large one pretty please! Il PM once done so you can send all together!
  7. Hey guys just wondering how long it takes to get the stuff in the mail? Looking forward to putting a SAU sticker on my bf's wrx where he won't see it for a while!
  8. Spotted a Silver R33 4 door on the F3 - had a SAU sticker on the window ...AH19HO. Beeped & waved but dont think it was returned
  9. Spotted a black 32 at Asquith this morning - I did wave just a bit late!
  10. Looking to buy complete aerial (inc motor thingy ) for a S1. Prefer Sydney-Newcastle location if possible. Cheers
  11. He was definitly cruising! Doing about 10 kms under the speed limit!
  12. Saw this on the F3 last night at about 5.30pm heading towards Gosford/Newcastle. Was this the new owner?
  13. Also spotted R33 GTR on F3 last night on way home from work - WPN26T.
  14. lol no worries... and I expect waves when I am the driving my WRX wagon also!
  15. Got aircon but definitely would NOT sacrifice it as my car is black and would be an oven without it on a summers day!
  16. Spotted a Black R33 S2 at Mt Colah this morning - AWA??? He waved , I waved all good!
  17. My car makes the same noise - its the front gear box bearing. If you were to put your foot on the clutch lightly and it made the noise then it would be the release bearing. How do I know? My dad is an automotive teacher at TAFE - comes in handy let me tell you! No need to replace until it becomes excessively loud - mine has been making it for around 15,000km now and is getting no worse - can only hear it in the garage or really late at night going through a tunnel or something. Dad advises that once you drop the gearbox it is easily accessed and the bearing is cheap! Hope this helps!
  18. If you can do without your clutch for a few days send it to Stewart Wilkins Racing (out Windsor NSW somewhere). They rebuild it heavy duty for you and 99% of the time its way cheaper than what you can buy. I have had my S13, bf's WRX and my R33 all done there. S13 was rebuilt 4 years ago and still going strong! Heres the details: Stewart Wilkins Rallying Pty Ltd U 6/ 16 Wingate Rd Mulgrave 2756 (02) 4577 2400
  19. If anyone wonders what these look like on an R33 just PM me with your email address and I will send photos of my car. I have the same wheels on my car but the inside of my rims are blue. Not sure if these rims are the same cause the photos look grey? Cheers Anna
  20. Spend the $200 to get everything engineered. Then you will have no worries when it comes to insurance claims. I claimed once (Suncorp) with my old car (R32 GTR). It was heavily modified but because it was engineered and I had declared everything at the time of taking the policy out there was no hassles in getting it fixed.
