pretty shitty pano really, handheld and didnt have the patience to wait till the waves were in the same spots due to bare feet on burning hot sand, haha. camera is now back with its new owner. was a great weekend, back to boring dole life, lol.

about 6 months ago i promised my aunt i would take some snapshots at her wedding. borrowed my old g12 back for the day and took a few for her. heres one. i also have a couple of panos of the scene to put together if i find some motivation later.

any reason it has to be DSLR? some of the mirrorless cameras out there are pretty decent and produce amazing pics. its also where a fair chunk of the major brands R&D budget is being spent with both Nikon and Canon bringing out EVIL (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangable Lens) cameras in the past 6-12 months to compete with the awesome things being made by Sony, Olympus and Panasonic. Might be worth looking into unless there is a concrete reason you need the mirror.

not really a random photo, but been working on learning about the google maps API and came up with these... http://jay019.com/locations/panoramas/ http://jay019.com/locations/drift/mallala.php http://jay019.com/locations/drift/oranpark.php They are interactive google maps with some of the photos I have taken marked on the map at the location they were taken from. Took 5 hours to get them rigged up and running, they could do with some cosmetic tweaking, but the functionality turned out good. Few more features I want to add in down the track too. Let me know what you think

Canon Powershot G12 compact camera with whatever crappy lens it came with. Has a chip in it and as its a fixed lens I cant replace it, lol.

morphett street is pretty much the only legal 'walk up' wall where you can spray whatever you like whenever you like. i have a few people i could ask if you wanted something in particular painted, supplying the paint would almost guarantee they would paint whatever you want. would be awesome to arrange a wall of your own, that way there would be no real rush and it would stay up. but morphett bridge could be made to work. with enough people with cameras and some lighting setups around it would deter anyone else coming along and claiming part of the wall while your in progress. if you would like me to ask around just let me know. did you have a date in mind? i love the idea, would definitely be a unique wedding shoot and i cant wait to see pics

nice work Dan. i think the background could be a tad brighter, might just be my monitor tho got asked to take a snap of this sexy beast last night. never really shot many bikes before so had no idea on what angles to use or anything like that. hopefully get to have another go at some stage, was pretty fun. there are reflective red strips on the rims, exposing the tyres well without blowing out those strips was a challenge

my mission is to screw up everyones browsing experience with my posts of massive height the real trick is in how i put it all together. had to expose for the sky and then expose for the foreground and then merge them into one image while photoshop was trying to mangle it up for me, lol

not really an october pic (its from july 2010) but ive only just got around to looking through them so thought i might post just one. yo, i think you dropped something

yeah sidd, just merged in photoshop after being taken with this... cost $7 for the aluminium offcut and then a few minutes drilling/filing. probably the best $7 i ever spent on camera gear wont spam the thread, but the last 10 or so panos in this set were taken using this. makes everything line up a lot better than when taken by hand. still doesnt compare to an iphone5 tho, i cant afford the pro tools
