Man I'm so tempted. vin, did u roll the guards to fit these on the evo x? I'm looking at getting rid of the evo and getting back into a Nissan myself.

i've dealt with collin before when I was selling a set of gtc wheels. He offered to pay me the money even before i had my new wheels arrive at the time. fwiw, I don't think he's a dodgy guy. i personally hate holding stuff on deposits or dealing with part payments

am thinking of buying a gti-r rolling shell to build as a track hack. from what i can tell, it should come complete with gearbox, clutch, clutch master, brake system incl brake booster..etc all it probably needs is a new heart and wiring. I'm not really interested in the a/c and i'll probably strip the interior and eventually fit a roll cage in. i don't have the tools and engine hoist to fit the engine myself so was looking at buying a front cut ( or engine + loom + ecu) and getting a workshop to transplant the engine and getting the car cranking and running. For those that have done this before, how much am i going to be up for in terms of labour cost? ...need to see if this is a viable option as opposed to buying a car that's still running. thanks heaps.

In the 3rd n 4th pic, there looks like patches on the lip, is it just water spots or is the paint flaking

thinking of buying an import from gumtree, but looks like it needs a bit of work done and from what i can tell, the rego has lapsed for > 1year apart from bringing the car back to roadworthy condition, was wondering if anyone can tell me what's involved in renewing the car's rego and how much it'll cost approx? also paint condition is pretty crappy...is that going to sway the decision to fail the car on the pits? don't want to spend too much money initially coz it's going to be just a fun car to trash around the tracks...but has to be rego'ed coz i dont have a 4wd or car trailer to take it to the track and back just need to weigh up all the cost involved before getting stuck into a project
