factory option i think. but pull your wheel off and have a look if theres anything stamped on them?

not a good idea mate. dont drive on them. i've got gtt wheels on my series 1 and they clear. i think its just a little bit of variation in individual cars. i've got almost no clearance at all. just get spacers. 5mm wont hurt anyone
