  1. I need two round knock sensor plugs with a wire tail ASAP PM me if you have some
  2. Can angle and couple of injectors so just going to do the whole lot. Its a non factory loom in it so can't buy off shelf one unfortunately
  3. Have broken a number of my connectors on my engine harness. Im having troubles finding new connectors to reterminate the loom. Aside from going to nissan (which are useless in this town) does anyone know of a place that sells new connectors to suit
  4. Do you have a rb25 manual gear lever/shifter amongst your treasures Noel??
  5. Chasing a gear shifter if it was a manual PM me if you have one with a price
  6. Chasing a stock length r33 25 manual shifter. With circlip and ball preferably. Send me a pm if you got one
  7. Was the rear shim put back in behind the crank pulley when belt was installed??. that would cause the belt to naturally run on rear of pulleys
  8. Next step has been started. DRIFT CAR MODS. full GKTECH v3 arm kit, solid subframe bush kit, rear knuckle setup, twin caliper hydraulic handbrake setup to be installed large photo post to come in next week or so once a lot of progress has been made Wont look like this once when it goes back in
  9. Its a start to power. Found that the GTX are pretty lazy on low boost levels. give it some more and watch the power jump up
  10. Nothing to report yet still waiting on GKTECH parts to be sent. How did yours go mate
  11. I put money on its running too much fuel pressure. Restrictive regulator
  12. Weird that someone posted on this the exact day it was being worked on. No boost controller yet BUT!!!! Not sure of exact date but it wouldnt of been 3 weeks after the last post i made that i get a phone call from the owner saying its broke again..... sigh. While being driven around town one of the belts started to squeak a bit, so owner decided he would go to the closest "closed" road and give it a squirt to just clear out the gunk......what followed was a complete dumping of bodily fluids in a trail behind the car. Something in the cooling system failed. The belt squeak must of been coolant starting to leak out onto them. Towed car home checked it next day to find as much water as could put in it was running out just as fast from the water pump/head area. At that point the owner said fk it im not fixing it, thing can sit for a while sick of dramas (dont blame him). This week we decided to pull it apart and investigate..... What we found was the welsh plug in the front of the head had somehow popped out This is exactly how it was sitting behind the cover waiting nicely for us to remove it Looking at the ghost marks in the head, the plug was installed crooked in the first place and was only "biting" on the very edge in one spot. We never replaced this plug when we built the engine as the head was reco'd by previous owner......oversight by us. Fresh brass plug inside (correctly this time) Video of start up after sitting unmoved for couple of months.....Poor little lifters havent had a drink for a while http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/nick81xd/Alans%20rb25%20engine/th_VIDEO0228_zpsd83mgvg1.mp4 Oddly enough when stripping down i found the inlet cam was a tooth forward of mark . We have no idea how that has happened as it was checked few nights before the tune, We have a little bit more work to do before drivable but will have to check the tune AGAIN to see if it was tuned with the cam advanced......May drive like a completely different car and pick up some power somewhere in the map. On a non engine related news. Owner ordered various front arms, a complete rear arm set and rear hub/knuckle assembly this week from GKTECH. So when those parts all arrive i will be documenting all of the work put into installing that kit. Time to stop messing around, playing games and get the car ready to be given a hard time at the track.
  13. Nothing worth reporting on, waiting on the new model boost controller to come out.....dont know which one though, some jap thing with a fancy screen. Owner has just been driving it and trashing it when he can. Engine holding up well, Only starts to get any blowby oil when its due for a service which is good. Owner currently overseas so car is just sitting for the moment.........i do know where the keys to it are hmmmmmm
  14. .82 T3 rear ICXU105 Set a goal and aim for it. If it made up near 600hp on not too excessive boost then will be happy
  15. On the road it would be around the 4600-4800 its seen full 25psi. Once the boost controller is replaced i would say it will be down around 4300-4600 area. Febuary next year is roughly the month that the car will be swapped over to Ethanol and then should get interesting
  16. I have a r32 GTE that im contemplating putting A/C back in after 8 years since wiring and components were taking out. It has the old slide lever non digital controls in dash. The small amount of air conditioning related wiring that is left has no power/earth anywhere so im on a blank canvas. As everybody i know has digital controls i dont have access to being able to probe wiring to copy. Now the mechanical side of it wont be a problem but im having a great deal of difficulty in finding any sort of help when it comes to wiring for non digital system. Does anybody have or know where i can find diagrams/info on what power, switches, relays etc i will need to sort out so it will work?????. I am wanting to have a shot at it before i just give in and take it to the local auto spark.
  17. The owner worked out his keyboard works and posted something for himself Short video of 25psi, Because the car is low and stiff suspension setup for drifting getting a full power run without wheel slip is pretty hard but you get the idea
  18. Done some filming on the weekend so just gotta edit a video up
  19. Rained on the weekend. Sliding all over the place doesnt make a good video of power delivery etc. Working on it though.
  20. Can put all the blame for having to wait on the owner of the car. It wasnt for lack of trying from me to get it sorted. It was almost getting to the point where i was going to steal the car and take it to get tuned with my own money. videos possibly this weekend
  21. THE MOONS HAVE ALIGNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We finally got a result worth talking about last thursday. I was meant to post it that night but was busy helping a mate with his skyline to race at Jamboree yesterday. Started with a few safe runs to check nothing was playing up with the fuel pressures and all was perfect. Adjusted base pressure and started tuning. The car must of been in a good mood because it behaved......somewhat. The boost controller to put it honest.......is S#!T. No matter the hook up method/settings its lazy coming onto boost. Put a bleed tap on and its so much faster to build boost. Instead of build boost and holding it just works its way up to boost and hovers around that. It will be replaced very soon with something more reliable. The standard LINK map sensor has maxed out so we stopped at a total boost pressure of 26psi. Now to the part everyone has been waiting for all this time POWER FIGURE. Running 25-26psi on BP98 fuel the car made 507.6hp or 378.5kws for those playing the KW game. Looking at the boost curve you can see that how lazy it is building boost, there is easily 40hp in the mid-range area to be had by sorting that out. My own car's engine setup is pretty much identical to this engine internally aside from i run a bigger flowing head, externally i have a ETM manifold setup with a plain GT3582, 4 inch dump and a long runner intake(vs short run greddy intake). On same boost i made 503hp, We overlayed the graph from that over this cars graph and found some interesting results. I have to edit the graph so its a bit easier to follow/read though but it looks like the GTX spools faster then the GT turbo but doesnt have the flow until higher up, the GT makes more power/psi until later. Once new controller goes in that might change also more boost added in. On the short drive home it just stands up on the tyres in 2nd and 3rd no problem once get a bit more time will take it out for a longer drive. Did not get any videos unfortunetly. See what the weekend holds might get time. Dyno graph
  22. Knowledge comes from just jumping in having a go, sometimes bit of luck and alot of research. Thanks will take any extra good luck going
  23. Long time thread revival from the dead. car sat untouched in the shed for several months as the owner lost some amount of interest. Only so much can take before motivation dies off........BUT!!!!!!. I persisted with him to pull his finger out and get it finished. Threw a set of plugs, some fresh fuel at it and took it back to the dyno today. Straight away the car was running very lean from 5500rpm onwards. Fuel pressure logs showed 13+psi of drop as revs built. The workshop pulled fuel pump out found some less then fantastic wiring so he repaired that but it didnt fix the issue completely. Going back to the basics checked the fuel filter and found that it was full of some sort of material blocking it. Change the filter and instantly the fuel pressure returned to normal and AFR's started reacting to map adjustments. Only fixed the issue after 5pm today so tomorrow is a new day and things are looking good to give it some hell. With too much base fuel pressure and no messing with tables it ran 315kws@ 22psi on a lower rev run so with any luck all the constant stupid issues are behind us. Hoping to be able to get some footage of dyno run for the thread. Its extremely loud in booth so might not work out. Ive said it countless times before but Results may follow tomorrow!!!! Log of fuel pressure before.
