Thanks for that. I read that thoroughly before i got this idea. And for the KA engine... thannks for the info but the budget will be blown (no pun intended) just rebuilding that engine! And i dont think its as good as the engines mentioned above also. Poor americans

- Tighten BOV. - get metal piping from turbo -> cooler -> plenum and it will be louder hehehe another "flutter" thread. lol

cheers dude !! That's what i wanted to confirm as well! Looks like RB neo it is.. for now i think ... i'll see what happens.

1JZ u mean 2Js can make 800+ hp with stock internals i believe ?! well RB25s compared to an SR20 will make the same power more reliably if thats wat u mean ...

Thanks R31Nismoid. I just mentioned the inlet plenum bcoz a lot of ppl seem to upgrade them. The stock ones are fine and will fit ... cheers for the info and help
-
Yeah i heard. The stock twin turbos wont fit and will hit the brake booster. On the other hand when we put the Obligatory bigger plenum on the RB25, it also wont fit ... Thats why i'm leaning towards the RB ... less hassle and maybe more power for my budget

Well a lot of ppl would say 1JZ, but for the extra mods (not including the motor or half cut) wouldnt the Neo RB25DET get more parts and power for a set price? - Aftermarket parts for the RB25 are wayyy cheaper than the 1J .. correct? - Also the R154 gearbox is soooo rare its not funny and also expensive... Planning on going into an S13 chassis atm. Just comparing the 2 as i can get the 25det Neo + gearbox for a similar price.

Considering that this is a Skylines forum, i would assume more ppl would go for the RB engine Anyways, considering that they are rated at the same peak power (206kw), which engine do u think is best bang for buck when modified, lets say to 300 - 350rwkw ? I heard that the 1JZ is a "better designed" engine and can make a lot of power easy and can take around 700hp with standard internals, but the aftermarket parts are more expensive? Is this true? So lets say we spend $5000 on both engines, the RB25DET Neo will produce more power as the prices are cheaper (eg, exhaust, manifold, intake, injectors, aftermarket ECU, turbo, etc)? Thanks for ur help. cheers...

I'd like to see some holden and ford V8 supercars there as well showing their weight transfer on the corner s That would be an interesting race...

Rb25det R33 & R34 Neo Rb25det Differences?
S15ilvia replied to _8OO5TED_'s topic in Forced Induction Performance
Does anyone have a dyno readout comparison between the 2 ? Considering same mods or both stock? Considering that the NEO is rated at 206kW, what about the midrange power and torque figures. thanks. -

Thinking of getting these but i use my 200sx on the street often, occasional track. Do the rose-joints have rubber boots to cover from dust/dirt/water etc? If not, can i get some put on or made up? Also, can u guys install it if i pick it up? Thanks. cheers Brian -
