  2. ^^^ +1 Got my 44mm TiAl gate from an ebay seller in the states for a little over $400 delivered
  3. What did you change in the suspension? aftermarket cradle bushes etc can transfer more noise etc..
  4. Sorry guys, couldn't make it had some running around to do and had to wash my car before I went to AHG, which was a lot of fun might I add
  5. I've seen busses hammer people down the Terrace, I find highly amusing.. go with your instincts Brad!
  6. AHH GOD DAMNIT! I forgot it's 1st April :( I've already been stung by that gDay thing too.. I guess I'm pretty gullible first thing in the morning
  7. *sigh* and I just put my club sticker on the car and now I'm going to be targetted for it?! WTF?! Me thinks the SAUWA president needs to write to the police and the paper and point out that we're not all hoons and that we are responsible drivers (ala the driver training day on Sunday), I'm fkn outraged!
  8. Wisecos, 8.5:1 (apparently), oem headgasket.
  9. The 2nd course was definately the most fun, the third layout had me confused on the first run out there.. I lost it then forgot where I was at, threw a donut and got told off heheheh
  10. Awesome day! Thanks to Brad for organising and to all the Stagea drivers who let their rwd brothers have a piece of the fun Sam, as always, living up to his name I'll see if I can get some vids up tonight, will post links here when done
  11. My remapped RB20 ecu runs my 550cc injectors just fine. Don't worry about the regulator, just get a decent fuel pump (I'm running an 044 intank).
  12. Yeah $100 for a complete RB30E, was even at a machine shop! so I told the guy "look mate, all I'm going to do it pull the crank and rods out and throw the rest in the bin, if you want to pull it out and keep the rest.." so I didn't even have to go pick the engine up and strip it, he pulled the crank and machined it for me, $100+$120 later I walk out with a nice fresh crank
  13. I think I got his number if you want it.
  14. May be slightly off topic but, what are the benefits of a larger throttle body on a single entry plenum in a forced induction application? I am going to use a GTR plenum chamber but without the multiple throttles, instead using a single at the front.. will just be running the standard throttle body for now but am wondering what upgrading to a larger item will do..
  15. I've got a new standard RB20 water pump waiting to go on when my existing RB20 one dies. I think the fin design of the newer pumps is better than the old RB30 item?
  16. RB30 block, forged pistons & 25DE head/intake manifold - $1500 Whole RB30 donor engine for crank and rods - $100 Crank machining - $120 Bearings - ~$85 N1 oil pump - $415 (IIRC) z32 AFM + plug - $350 Denso 550cc injectors - $900 Tune/remap - $660 That is what is in there so far, for a little over $4k it's making a real torquey 245rwhp @12psi through an RB25 turbo. Waiting to go on: GT35R (GT3540/GT3582) - $1600 High mount exhaust manifold (secondhand) - $150 (needs gate flange welded on) 44mm TiAl gate - ~$420 (I think) Intake manifold, GTR plenum bit cost me $100 and probably looking at another couple of hundred to get it welded up. Lets say another $500 for miscellaneous pipework and bits n pieces. Another tune/remap - $660 Everything else was a straight swap from my RB20, oh and I do have splitfire coils but running standard ones right now as I was trying to diagnose a misfire problem, appears to be loom related, have located a brand new coil harness for $120!! So for about $7.5k I should* be making a lazy 300rwkw with mucho nuts down low. *Should make that easily, leaving standard throttle body in as a sort of bottle neck to keep power down.. don't really want to go over 400rwhp with stock rods..
  17. If you make it breakfast this Sunday I can go (all you can east sizzler breakfast FTW.. maybe I shouldn't make myself too fat before AHG ).
  18. I'll bring my video camera but it's not being duct-taped to a car I'll chuck it on the tripod and film everybody when I'm not in the car, aslong as someone films my runs
  19. I did pretty much the same as CEF11E except that I happened to get hold of a prepped block and forged pistons along with the 25DE head for $1500. Problems I did encounter were I hit R&R straight away and also maxxed out the AFM over 5000rpm. Z32 afm and a tune, also threw in some 550cc injectors while I was there so I'm ready for the new turbo to go on. Setup will be capped at 300rwkw until I'm ready for the next stage of development.. engine will then come out, new rods, balanced, ported, cams etc etc and then see how far the GT35R can go
  20. I can't wait to get on a strip and see where mine tops out.. twincam 30, 25box, 3.9 diff ratio, it powers through 5th without breaking a sweat! I don't see it being that much different with the taller diff, I'm doing ~2900rpm in 5th @ 100kmh.
  21. I think RIPS make those belt driven pumps, they claim good enough to handle 11,000rpm..
  22. I'll be there before dawn just to be on the safe side!
  23. +1 ^^^ p.s. I love my 30, no regrets, leagues ahead of that old 2L pos
  24. 10mm spacers made from flatbar and some longer bolts.. I did it so my bonnet would close
  25. 160.9 when I filled up last week wgmg is coming down with a cold AFTER the long weekend because some idiot decided to come camping while sick >(
