  1. My 2way is noisy as hell, mostly when it's cold - it either skips or the clutches chatter away. Once it's nice and warm it's barely noticeable.. might try some new oil.. Oh and it is a bit clunky but I was warned of that.. button clutch + 2way = lots of fun
  2. Incidental change to splitfire coils had the added benefit of fixing my idle miss.. might want to check your coils
  3. +1 on the exhaust.. especially as you have a boost controller and are likely trying to run more boost.
  4. I bet I'll only need a whiff! Feeling pretty seedy today.. bottle stays in its' box
  5. 5 cats in order from eldest to youngest - Charlie, Merlin, Spike, Zeus, Hades.

    What Tha?

I guess some sort of line noise filter for the stereo?
  7. I'm not feeling brave enough to open this 127 proof bourbon I got for xmas.. yet..
  8. That's cool Ryan.. do they pay their drafties well? need another drafty? sounds a lot more interesting than conceptual mine/stockyard/port layouts.. probably doesn't pay as well though O_o I had a lot more fun working for the automotive R&D company but the money just didn't compare with mining/resources.

    Open Cruise

No, they are scary.. I've spent enough money on tyres and fuel over the last few days, not sure if I'll attend this one
  10. +3 get a lockbar, mine cost $75 and was easy as to install.

    Open Cruise

Interesting, have you driven the hills section you have mapped out? a lot of the roads are pretty sh!t, cruise last friday night had ~50 cars coming down a single lane road with an indeterminable dropoff (it was pitch black) with sharp hairpins requiring people to do 3-4 point turns
  12. Mine does it under the same conditions too Brockaz, well pops loudly at least, more often than not the fuel gets ignited at the front of the exhaust and I just get a bang with no flame. When it ignites at the back I get a 1-2ft flame apparently only makes a small *whop* when it flames though I have been on the receiving end of a Bee*R limiter in the workshop.. 26 in a gts4, was standing on the back left of the car talking to someone when I heard the engine start to rev.. glanced at the exhaust pipe then BANG BANG BANG it hit the Bee*R limiter.. my left ear was ringing for several hours after
  13. Everyone likes to gang up on the yuppies
  14. I'm sure Jaycar would have a small thermocouple kit for not much.. <makes a mental note to have a look.. later..>
  15. I did it for clearance.. RB30 and all My engine temps never really get high except when you're doing burnouts in 43deg.. got to the top of the gauge twice today and a short trip down the road cooled her down again. I didn't lose a drop of coolant either while my mates xr8 emptied all of its coolant! stupid australian cars can't handle a burnout in australian conditions! Also, I wouldn't have noticed any drop in water temps after raising the bonnet as it always sits at whatever the thermostat opens at. I will however remove the rubber strip at the back and report back as to whether that + 10mm raise decreases under bonnet temps
  16. I got my bolts from a Fastener mob in Welshpool, pulled up, popped my bonnet, removed one bolt, went inside and asked for something to match but 10mm longer. I had started out with washers but when I wanted to bump it up to 10mm I had my mate make up a couple of 25x10FB spacers with appropriate holes, if I could find my camera!! I'd take some photos
  17. You can't go too far with washers, I spaced the bonnet on my 32 with 10mm steel spacers that I had my fitter mate make up (needed to get longer bolts too.. I just went to a local fastener place) and it opens fine.. although it is a little springloaded due to touching the timing belt cover
  18. I would expect it to be powered by cold fusion and to have been secretly funded by Mother Russia.
  19. I've lined up a 2nd hand one And yeah, get a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I use an Autometer one and it's fine, I always thought the stock gauge was fkd as it the needle barely moved off 0 but now with the N1 pump it actually reads pressure! (guess the oil pump on the 20 was getting VERY old and tired..
  20. I was out last night, don't know if I'll be out tonight.
  21. hahahah
  22. My pedal has been squeeky for ages, unless it feels dodgy (sideways slop etc) I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe get some WD40 on there.
  23. Only saw two cop cars on the cruise last night, both were paddy wagons and didn't bother us.
