  1. That is exactly where I had mine although the holes were a little different and I used 3/8 rubber hose with rubber grommets in the holes. Nice and tidy You'll also notice that I tried experimenting with a second catch can next to the battery (passenger side breather > catch can > Intake) which did absolutely nothing.
  2. Disagree. I had one of those little (300ml?), hollow Just Jap catch cans (cylinder shape) between my PVC and plenum on the NM35. Every 10,000kms is was about a 20% full of oil. I had it in next to the brake fluid so maybe having the top of the catch can as the highest point between the PCV and plenum return made a difference? I haven't seem catch cans that are situated lower in the line work very well.

  5. Go Motul 300v or NEO. Both are better than RP. No turbo timer - not required. Just drive comfortably for the last block or two before you get to your destination EBC - HKS EVC, Blitz IBC or Greddy Profec B. Why delete the cat? Just get a high flowing cat. If it is the HKS turbo kit, leave the cat as is.

  10. Good luck with the sale Peter. Must say, it is one of the cleanest NM35's I have seen. Very nice looking (and sounding) car. Those tweeters, whilst custom, might as well be OEM. Quite nice.
  11. Just bend it so that it clears. Mine has SFA clearance - it is a different bar that came on the car - but there are no touch/rub marks on it. If you clear it and find that fouls, just bend it a little more out the way.

  14. hmm... I am curious as to how you come to the conclusion that a wider tyre on a larger diameter rim will have the same contact patch as a smaller narrower rim. I just can't see how the contact patch would be shorter for the tyre on the larger rim. Wider, yes of course... but shorter? Explain?
  15. Why would there be a decrease in performance. Assuming the rolling diameter is very close and the 19's are wider (usually the case with OEM), the main differences will be a greater rubber contact patch due to the wider rim-thus wider tyre (unless you are doing the stretched thing) and a harsher ride due to the lower profile tyres on the 19's. Also you may notice a small decrease in fuel economy due to the larger contact area with the road (I lost around 0.5km/L). Reference: I went from OEM 17's on my Stagea to Buddy Club 19's. Both weighed around the same but the BC have 245's on them (9" wide) where as the 17's have 215's on them (7" wide). Car handles much, much better with the new rims... but a lot of that comes down to the tyres.
  16. Slotted or drilled will be fine. For reference, both Porsche and Lamborghini both use drilled rotors on their supercars (albeit different compounds), I can't see how you'd be pushing a NA V35 hard enough to worry about whether you have drilled or slotted rotors. Depending on the quality/quantity of the existing rotors and if money is tight, why not just get the face machined?
  17. Yep, Infinity M35 is the 3.5L version of the Y50 Fuga (Infinity M56 is the Fuga with a 5.6L V8 in there ) Nothing like the Nissan M35 which we love so much

  20. No, although it would be best to do pads at the same time. Just make sure that the rotors are for your brake package (ie 350z Track)
