  9. Hi all, Engine lost oil pressure. So main bearings suffered. Crank is getting crack tested and machined to take new bearings. Rods are in excellent condition. Pistons are 86.5mm and are in great condition too. Block is machined for 86.5mm Pistons. Bought new from justjap and has had minimal use. Parts are located in Sydney. Cheers Steve

  11. Hi all, Been down this path many times before. I have built over 10 motors in my lifetime, from when I was a struggling uni student to now (a struggling man with mortgages). Building to a budget and trying to save $$$ is hit and miss. There are way to many variables to go wrong. And instantly a blame game starts. I am fortunate enough to now get work done at Powertune Aust. It is about this time last year I approached them having lost all faith and passion in owning a GTR and racing it. All work done in house. All responsibility taken with a fall warranty on all work. Just remember the saying "poor man pays twice" no doubt there are some very clued up peeps on this forums who are skilled enough to screw a engine together but that in my opinion is only a quarter of the exercise. Happy to answer any questions over PM
  12. Hi lads, I must agree with Fatz that the coin required to attend this event is insane. Definitely not something you want to attend if your after value for money track time. (I personally love the ARDC practice days and supersprints at SMSP as its the best bang for buck)... Looking to continue flying the GTR flag this year for OPEN class at least. The BC Automotive GTR gave great inspiration to me last year whilst I was breaking holinger boxes... Dean Lillie has been working closely with the car this year as well. As Brian mentioned, without sponsors - this event will only be a dream to compete in and be a part of. I personally love the team aspect that this event brings out. Thats what I have realised is required to try and be a podium contender. Engineer, tuner, mechanic, etc... Last test this month will be on the 19th for me. It will be a full song wtac run. I have got my hands on a BW 9180. Initial testing has not lost much with the transient stuff. Sub 1:30s is the benchmark I have set. Hopefully enough to fend of the EVOs
