  1. Spotted a Black 32 (maybe GTR, only saw it for a second) near the fyshwick markets Silver 33 in Barton White 32 in Civic all yesterday
  2. Technology is strange and confusing, all you needed back in your day was a wheel and a stick
  3. Haha, just buy a turbo and cable tie it on. You need to upgrade a lot of things and theres a sh*t load of work involved. Pretty much it is just cheaper to buy an already turbo skyline, then to convert a non-turbo
  4. Congrats on the baby Should change the name to something more manly or at least call him something more manly when your wife isnt around to guarantee he is good at sports, Thunder St-Biceps perhaps...?
  5. Spotted a few today on a delivery run, trucks are dam fun to drive, so high up and its like driving a lounge chair. a dark green 33 sedan near dickson (think they are a member here) Black series 1 33 near war memorial Silver 32 GTR parked in dickson and pretty sure I spotted this car near old bus depot market: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=87167
  6. When i took the seat out of my old skyline i found some sauce (minus packaging) and 1 condom (also minus packaging...) and about $10 in coins.
  7. Plumback basically means it is 'plumbing' (piping) the pressure build up from the turbo back into the system. The HKS (guessing you have the SSQV) is an atmospheric BOV which is the opposite of plumback, so instead of it keeping the pressure buildup within the system it vents it out making the BOV noise. Atmospheric BOVs cause all sorts of stalling problems and may be part of the cause of your starting problems. Even though they sound pretty dam cool (i always wanted one ) some people actually say they lower performance because the car has to build up the pressure after each gear change and bov vent. So try changing back to the stock or any other plumback system, can propably even plumback the SSQV so maybe look into that. Should be able to pickup a stock R33 BOV for under $50 on forums, just search around. As for oil, if it is 20Wsomething then i'd bet some money on it being the cause of the starting problems. Its winter now and the mornings are cold so you add that onto the thick oil and its going to be tough for your car to start and would also explain why the problems disappear when the car is at operating temp. Try changing to some thinner oil (10W40) or even 0W40 and run it in for a while, post back here once you've tested those 2 things out and see how you go. Check out the 'goods on oil' thread for some more info on what oils are good.
  8. Dam xbox, I cant get used to the controller so i always give up because i hate being beaten by 10 year olds at video games. Guitar Hero and Battlefield 2142 (y)
  9. hot (dunno if its just luck but majority of the emo chicks i see out there (that arent 14 year olds) are hot)
  10. Welcome to the forums, post up some pics when you get it so we know who to wave too. Someone needs to setup another skylines cruise, hasn't been one for a while now
  11. lion (that man is a phony!)
  12. Is the BOV plumbedback? If not try putting the stock bov back on and see if that changes anything. Also how thick is the oil, brand doesnt mean much
  13. think of it this way, your saving money by going cheap on petrol and causing damage to your engine. As someone said your only saving about $6-7 per tank and when your engine dies you will have to shell out 50x more then you have saved so far on petrol on an engine rebuild. Dont be stingey
  14. list out your mods, when this began or anything like that so people have some sort of idea Did it have troubles starting before you wound back the idle screw? 1050 isnt too high, mine is around 1100 warm and around 1500 cold. Also how thick is the oil in your car (eg. 10W40) Also, black smoke is usually related to fuel so not a huge deal to worry about, probably best to get it checked at a mechanics though
